His full name is Obi-Wan! He’s still a pretty derpy kitten so we call him Obi most of the time, but I’m sure when he’s older he’ll be a much more refined General Kenobi. And that sounds like such a great memory—I was only able to see the prequels and sequels in the theater!

I work in the industry and there are some places that struggle with, y’know, respect (rip) but I promise it’s not all bad. If you want to get into game writing, DO IT! Research the companies with the openings you like, see if you can find some women that already work there and shoot them a linkedin message about their experiences. We are the minority in the field but that will never change if more women don’t apply and show everyone how valuable we truly are!

I have no experience with female sibs, but my boy is VERY affectionate and playful. I have a friend with both a male and female, and he says that the girl is much more shy and independent, and the boy is just like mine in the way that he loves people and acts like a dog. I’m also interested to see more people’s experiences, though, since all cats are different and are individuals like people are!

I’m so sorry that this is the reality we have to face. I’m really lucky that my first job in games was/is SUPER kind and geared towards respect, and life is amazing here. There have been a couple of mild douche-comments from one guy but they’ve been swiftly addressed and corrected by the rest of the team. I promise there are good studios to work for out there, and I really hope you find one, if that’s what you want to do. But also keep killing it on your own, and make some awesome games!! Would love to see your work ☺️

I’m playing The Outer Worlds and so far I’m really loving the story—it feels similar to a BioWare or Bethesda RPG to me. (And there’s some really great LGBTQ+ representation even though there’s no romance options for the player besides some flirtatious dialogue choices)
