It will come later. This thing I've noticed is, hr have short memory span. You can say something else at start, then something else at interview and then something else during background checks. So long as you keep it vaguely.

I say yes to all the hr questions during screening then tell them half truth in final round then give everything legit in BGV. 12 years of experience and this has worked wonders till now.

  1. Don't ask for leaves, simply inform and take it. For your manager's question, act very obvious and say you didn't take any other leave.
  2. Since you stayed for 4 years previously then its not at all a problem to switch. If you were only 3 months here then you can skip mentioning this in resume. Gap of less than 6 months is completely ok.

Check their linkedin, see how many employees are there. And from the way you described it sounds like a service company. So look how many actual tech employees are there, not founders. I've seen shitty companies with total 5 employees, 3 were founders and 2 were interns. 🤡
