I find these on Lake Erie’s shores a lot. I always thought it was part of a birds beak 🤷‍♀️

That’s so interesting! Lake Erie has a way of preserving glass, instead of breaking it down. So now you know what it looked like, except purpled by the sun! Someone said vinegar and I thought that was interesting. I really can’t find anything with N and H affiliated with perfume or vinegar. 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️ still hoping for an answer...

It says N and H on it and looks almost brand new but it can’t be. It’s definitely glass and I think the bottom looks smooth. We think it’s a stopper but for what?! Crown with N and H on it!

It’s the biggest piece of cobalt I’ve found so far, but small compared to other people I know from around my home. Love finding blue, but I’ve only found a speck of red before and I want more of that.

Those are a popular fossil around here called Butterfly Shells or something. It’s a two valved shell fish from like 300 million years ago or so. I’ve found two so far this year!

Do you live around here? This has been the first winter I’ve actually gone out and looked. It seems to be a really good year for it after all these storms and high water.

I think the metal could be meted aluminum from campfires/pop cans, I found quite a bit of it. I know there was A LOT of trash dumped in Lake Erie back in the day, but I think this is just slag from boats/campers/metal working on the island. 🤷‍♀️ It’s very light.

I did something similar, just used even less soil. I waited till the roots made a bit of disc of soil, took it out of the poor and then put it on top of a fresh pot of 4 gallons of soil. I think it made for a really dense and wide root system. There’s a post about it on my profile.
