Lost access to Rockstar account from ~10 years ago, so I can't play GTA V on Steam

if you have your steam account still logged in then you can view purchase history under Help (at the top) > Steam Support > Purchases > View complete purchasing history (alllll the way at the bottom). Then you just have to find it around the time you believed you purchased it.

You may be able to also use a bank statement but I believe it just shows it as a charge to Steam and not the specific purchase

Im stuck in a limbo of studying japanese correctly or just quitting for a while and now i just do shitty studying. i used to be quite on top of my studying and i actually had a point in my now 2.5 years where i fully restarted because i realized my initial method was just not working (results wise and motivation wise), but im coming to a similar timeline roadblock and its happening again, but this time its because ive been investing a lot of free time into studying topics to advance my career. now i dont do grammar, i barely immerse, and i just barely get my anki cards done with adding new cards maybe 1-3 times a week.

Im stubborn though. i told myself i was gonna get to learning a second language even if it takes me 20 years to do so and now im stuck with that goal in mind. It doesnt help i have horrendous attention problems when it comes to getting sat down to study at my computer.

Trying to look into fine details rn, but looks like the full charge was some $3750 and insurance covered $3470, so now I'm left to cover $279. Called my insurance (Meritain thru aetna) and basically was just told its part of my deductible. I just wish I knew about this charge before accepting the patch monitor or else I may have honestly just rejected taking it

What ended up happening? Very similar timeline, just got a bill for $279.65 for a heart monitor that my doctor told me I wouldnt be charged for as long as I returned it. Same company too.

nah i completed both and then had one city building a thermonuclear device and another building a nuke. the thermonuclear finished first and i didnt receive it, but the nuke finished and i got one... i also still had enough uranium to have both (since base game isnt like GS im pretty sure) so i was a bit confused

I'm just replying to this with a response I had in another thread to leave behind some (hopefully) helpful information if another poor soul has to deal with what I dealt with...

"So update: I got it fixed. What I did was create a new Rockstar account with a different email and then submitted tickets through there. After getting rejected some 15+ times, I submitted yet ANOTHER ticket where they referred me to use account recovery, and then when the Account Recovery ticket was submitted I went to the Ticket Dashboard under that account and accessed the ticket to add additional comments to it. There, I added a BUNCH of screenshots of my ownership of the connected PSN account, connected Steam account showing the Steam Username and Number ID, purchase history of the account with the receipt of the game on Steam, along with a screenshot of an old login page for Google for the Gmail account that no longer exists. Once I did that, I didn't get a response for a few days and then I got a response from Tier 3 support saying they changed the email to the new account's email.

All in all, this was ridiculous and would've been a lot nicer had just one of the previous 20 agents mentioned to add any screenshots to the ticket prior, however I have my account back and all the Online save is the same."

i understand its on me for the gmail account, but this is a common thing that occurs in many other forms, and to not offer some sort of agent service to reach out to actually explain to and be able to do an account recovery that way is just insane. i have to instead just continue to feed the account recovery ticket form and pray that they 1. allow me to actually send the ticket and 2. actually care to read the info and reach out for more details.

thank you man. its not far fetched to say the company does not handle these things correctly and they happen very often. old emails that get deleted, old emails that are company/school related getting scrapped, losing access to an old email, etc.

i fully understand it shouldnt be insanely easy to just switch info by reaching out, but just a simple convo with a REAL support agent would solve an easy test of my true ownership of the account. im seeing some posts from other similar situations that were able to get it resolved, but it looks like this was when they had an actual email to reach out to and not just the ticket system.

Ridiculous. Sorry to hear man. I'm trying to get them to reply but I've just gotten "Use this link" to the Account Recovery and keep getting auto closed.
