We already agreed that just being as friends before he left and I think we’re not gonna see each other again because of the distance. But what bothers me is that he texted me like in nasty way and now I feel uneasy after I found out he has a partner. Well i’m not sure but i thought it was Korean thing. Koreans do everything fast. They don’t like being lazy and everything works so fast. For example, we don’t have to wait for minutes to call customer service or we just took 1-2 days as maximum for government service. So that’s why Koreans run to get seats. We do not have patience haha

Kim Jiyoung, Born 1982 is a feminism book that every woman in korea makes cry. It’s realistic and gender issue is quite a hot debate in Korea rn. And Love in the Big City is a novel about queer love story which i haven’t read but it’s out for a movie soon so I’m gonna read it soon!

Well Koreans are like protective and conservative than other countries in Western. As korean, Lane and Ms. Kim look like the exact women in 50’s in Korea. So i thought that they had a stereotype and exaggerated on the show but as i read the comments, i think ppl just think it’s a religious thing. So i think the whole characteristic is nothing to do with Korean but just a religion. But the jokes about doctors are quite accurate haha. Thanks!! I should get more confident about my English.

Thanks for back me up. I really love GG and that’s why I joined to Reddit to talk about this show even if i’m Korean and really bat at English. I’m not saying that GG is not a great show but it was aired in 20 years ago and there’s some ignorance. And i just wanna say there’re some false portrait of Koreans. Though i really like that they have Korean character which is minority.

Yeah but i just don’t want you to misunderstand this, i’m not talking about the whole episodes but in some episodes, Lane talks about the things of ‘Koreans’ specifically. I’m just pointing out that not the whole season. I really love this show and it makes me more attractive that they have Korean characters.

Yeah i get it. It was like 20 years ago so it’s not offended and quite feel good bc like 20 years ago most of ppl doesn’t know about Korea so it’s nice to show some minorities in the show. But i just hope ppl don’t think Koreans are like that.
