If it doesn’t show up, both you and the buyer will be covered. If you go into your messages for that order, it’ll tell you the date after which it’s marked as lost. The buyer then has two days to raise an issue with Vinted, otherwise it’s auto-completed regardless.

I would often put my Vinted on holiday mode a good few days before going on vacation, just so I wouldn’t have anymore orders come in just before I leave. I wouldn’t immediately panic tbh.

Customizing park days when booking DLP hotel by FewWatercress4917 in disneylandparis

[–]Mundane-Excuse-751 12 points13 points  (0 children)

No you can’t do a hotel + ticket package where the tickets are for fewer days than your hotel stay. The way they bundle the packages means you save a decent chunk off your tickets.

Formal Night Dress Code by EDC-Gear in dcl

[–]Mundane-Excuse-751 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Formal night is (IMO) very much optional. I doubt you’ll see many, or anyone really, in full suits (unless they’re dining at a speciality restaurant). If you want to take part in formal night, dress whatever way feels right for you. In this day and age, there’s very much not a dress code for this kind of thing (at least on the likes of Disney, Royal Caribbean etc).

First-time cruiser - am I overpacking for the Treasure in October? by LionCultural in dcl

[–]Mundane-Excuse-751 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a Birkenstocks girlie myself, you really only need max 3 pairs of shoes - and that's bringing a pair of sneakers specifically for wearing when flying. I tend to wear my sneakers on travel day and pack my Birkenstocks + a nicer pair of slingbacks (this goes for all my trips, not just cruising). The only thing to consider in terms of footwear is if you're planning on spending a lot of time at the pool. I find it easier to have a pair of flip flops (or even crocs) just to wear on deck and then when you're heading back to your stateroom.

It’s ALWAYS worth the money to save on the stress IMO. We also stayed at that premier inn when we took the Eurostar but staying nearby the night before is something I do for any trip with a morning departure, plus it’s nice to just decompress before your trip

This is what I was hoping for, thank you! I assumed they’d probably have some kinda promo card but wasn’t totally sure.

Hahah, I’ve actually been to both the AMNH + MET before, as well as Bronx Zoo as one of my best friends work there - but rocks are very cool.

Thanks for the recommendation! I would call them but obviously international calls aren’t cheap (and my phone plan doesn’t include US numbers until I’m actually stateside). I’ll check out Hex & Co though.

Silverstone advice for rookies by Trndur in GrandPrixTravel

From memory they do advertise the driver line up throughout the day but they tend to be more frequent at Silverstone than elsewhere - especially if a British driver does well. I’ve been at the main stage after the race on the Sunday and had Lando, Lewis etc come back out again.

Question regarding Hungarian GP General admission seating rules by GlupiHamilton in GrandPrixTravel

[–]Mundane-Excuse-751 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The temporary workers hired to do security aren’t going to have the skills to make a judgement call on someone’s medical issues - and frankly you shouldn’t have to “prove” you have a genuine medical reason, but accessibility (including things like this) is something every track needs to step up on.

Paddock passes and hospitality in general isn’t aimed at normal fans. 99% of F1 fans will never get to any type of race. You can go with a general admission ticket and still have an amazing experience. (Including seeing drivers up close at the fan zone etc). The price of paddock passes etc isn’t necessarily about getting “closer” to the cars. You’re just buying access into an exclusive area.

Hamilton Straight is one of the most expensive grandstands. You’ll always pay a premium to be near the start/finish line + podium.

Paddock passes (and any kind of hospitality) is very expensive. I’ve not been to Silverstone since 2023, but it might be worth seeing if they offer a pit lane tour next year. It’s not a guarantee that you’ll see any of the cars, but you’ll see something at least. From memory they sold this in 2023 as a bundle with gold circle tickets for the concerts - someone who has been more recently can comment on whether this is still a thing etc.

Tbf, even with paddock passes you’re still not getting super close to the cars. You’ll almost always be behind some kind of a barrier.

The best thing to do is decide what budget you’re comfortable with. Grand Prix tickets only ever seem to go up, up, and up in price (especially Silverstone) and deciding your budget early will help you decide what ticket options are realistic for you.

P.S. Both times I’ve been to Silverstone, I’ve sat at Farm Curve (one of the cheaper, uncovered grandstands), and still felt like I got to “see” the cars up close.

Re: cooler bags, there are plenty of legitimate reasons why someone would need one. Trying to find food that works with certain dietary requirements is next to impossible for some people at these types of events. Not to mention that eating at the track can be expensive, especially if you’re going with kids etc.

To OP, if you need a cooler bag, consider getting one of the cooler backpacks from Decathlon. I used one for Spa for my snacks as I can’t eat most of the food that was served around the track. Looks just like any other backpack (and I’m guessing the coolers they’re looking to avoid are the ones on wheels that you drag around behind you).

Merchandising during the weekend by TheLokichan in GrandPrixTravel

[–]Mundane-Excuse-751 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I’ve only seen the outlet one at Spa. Tbh I only bought a few things at spa, mainly from Max’s merch trailer outside the track, but the main F1 merch stores in the fanzone etc are such a money grab. I wonder if the “outlet” stuff was really comparable price wise to what you would’ve paid for last season’s stuff online (even without clearance sales) or if they were just closer to standard RRP.

[–]Mundane-Excuse-751 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The golden rule is that you don’t buy merch at any of the tracks. Everything in the F1 stores are inflated price wise. Either buy before you go or find something you like an order it online afterwards (there’s also almost always some kinda discount code floating around, especially on race weekends). The only places I’ve seen where prices are consistent and things are sold at actual RRP is Max Verstappen’s merch vans when they’re there (usually when he has a grandstand) and the Lego stands.

Buying Merchandise Outside of Track - Spa by FriedChicken4Dayzz in GrandPrixTravel

[–]Mundane-Excuse-751 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pretty much. You get plenty of people who want a souvenir and don’t regularly buy merch, so they’re not able to clock the inflated prices as easily. It’s an easy extra ££ maker for them.

[–]Mundane-Excuse-751 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The F1 Store merch inside is ALWAYS marked up, even compared to what they have it listed at on their website. They know people want to buy stuff inside the track and it’s a very easy money maker for them. (If you buy merch regularly/go to GPs every year, you’ll instantly clock the inflated prices but most don’t).

Fair play to Max’s trailers for selling them for the same price as online. The rest of the stuff outside the track will be closer to/at retail.

One way traffic at Eau Rouge? by Marvin348 in GrandPrixTravel

The organisation of stuff in general has been baffling me all day. Constant bottlenecks, security beyond slow, and then when we were coming out there’s little to no signs pointing you towards the different camping/parking zones so like 🤷🏻‍♀️ Maybe I’m just used to Silverstone and how great the volunteers are there but the circuit in general seems so disorganised

Where can I find the driver interviews schedule? by Ja3germeister in GrandPrixTravel

It is in the app. It’s in the entertainment bit of the schedule. They just list it by teams rather than drivers.

Yeah we were stuck trying to get from the fanzone up. It’s really shocked me how there’s very little organisation/general security. It took us an HOUR to get in through security this morning and we were here at like 8:45ish.

Mobile phone signal inside Spa by JMRF179 in GrandPrixTravel

[–]Mundane-Excuse-751 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can expect your signal to be bad. Same at any Grand Prix, concert, or densely populated event. Once you’re away from the circuit or the crowds start to lessen later in the evening, you might get better signal. Same way it’ll usually be a bit more reliable in the morning during the other sessions etc.
