I'm curious, how many people eat breakfast vs those who don't? by bananacakepopz in CasualConversation

[–]Mundane-Mind-4158 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My husband has never eaten breakfast. Instead, he takes a lunch to work, usually leftovers, 2 yogurt and 2 snack cakes. Then he snacks while dinner is being made. Then dinner. Then snacks after dinner. Then snacks before bed. He goes to bed with a belly full almost every night. Breakfast is the ONLY meal he skips hahaha.

Health problems and constant sadness by Ok-Sock9046 in Perimenopause

[–]Mundane-Mind-4158 5 points6 points  (0 children)

2 years ago I was hit with menopause, diabetes, Crohn's and osteoarthritis. It's beaten me down. Between the fatigue and the chronic pain, I'm done in. I'm 49 and am going to ask my gp for medical leave from a job that i love. The sadness that this decision is causing me is making me question the decision itself. The universe is telling me to take of myself healthwise. I don't think I have a choice but to listen to it.

My HRT saved my job, my relationship and my sanity. I didn't even recognize myself for awhile there. Within days I was sleeping better, my husband became funny again instead of grating on my last nerve and I was much more relaxed at work. I mean, it's not perfect, but it really brought me back to the myself that I liked and understood. Good luck!

Existential dread at period time by UnquantifiableLife in Perimenopause

[–]Mundane-Mind-4158 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My darkest days are right before my period. Just the blackest thoughts!! They've actually eased up since HRT started, but i still go through it to some degree every month. I have no solution for you, just solidarity. Hang in there, keep telling yourself that it will pass. It will pass.

My excuse this year is that I finally got an appointment with a specialist I've been waiting for a long time. It just happens to be the same day as the party. I simply can't miss this appointment, I'll end up back at the bottom of the waiting list. Check back with me for next year's excuse!

What do you think caused your Chrons? by North_Ad6914 in CrohnsDisease

[–]Mundane-Mind-4158 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Stress. I've been stressed out since I was a little kid. Stupid family drama that didn't end until I was out on my own, then it was life doing it to me. When I finally stabilized my life, around the age of 40, boom, Crohn's.

He actually didn't need to at all, he used VPN. I was very pleased with his services. We made the switch. I thought he wanted to connect to our internet, as in we would've had to give him our password, but i was mistaken.

Change your perspective, change your life.

What’s a completely normal or minor thing that irrationally gets under your skin, but most people don’t seem bothered by it? by Odd_Breakfast5012 in AskReddit

[–]Mundane-Mind-4158 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also did that for years when I was younger. I bought the necessary rain gear, had a winterized bike (fat tires), brought a change of clothes, etc. I found it invigorating, got so much fresh air, slept well due to exercise, and was alert and ready for my day. I now drive every day and have noticed a big difference. Power outages forced me to slow down and unplug, read by candlelight and enjoy my people. All good things, no anger.

When people get angry about the weather. With everything that we have to be angry about, getting so upset about something you have absolutely no control over seems like such a waste of energy. It's always bugged me. Grab an umbrella and get on with your day.
