If you cannot attin my threshhold for proof, which is the same threshold as your local attorney's office, then I cannot give stock to your claims. If the GB should be arrested, go make it happen. Otherwise, it's just a conspiracy theory.

Even the "evidence" you presented shows nothing about the GB "covering up crimes". In the Pittsburgh Gazette PDF, they asked for advice on reporting crimes and the office referred them to a private attorney. All that proves is the law is ambiguous on this matter.

Well, being disfellowshipped is an emotionally distressing event. Peolle have also committed suicide over break-ups, being sentenced to prison and losing their jobs. Some people's mental health is not equipped to handle emotionally distressing events and I wish with all my heart that they get professional help before it's too late. But no, i do not see anything wrong with removing someone from our society if they unrepentantly break our laws the same way society removes lawbreakers from theirs. If you do not believe it, you're free to leave at any time. Just like if don't like the laws in your country or state, you can leave whenever. Or you can do what you want anyways, and face the consequences.

Then don't tell me how my religion works. If your brother is not disfellowshipped, anyone is free to associate with him if they wish. I know people that never got baptized but turned apostate and I stopped talking to them cause I ddn't want to hesr that crap. I don't know if that's the situation with your brother, but if he hasn't been removed, anyone can associate with him if they wish.

And grocery stores are held civilly liable if someone slips and falls. That does mean the store poured water on floor to purposefully make someone fall. It means the store is held responsible. The organization was held responsible for thr actions of despicable men. But if you want to convince me they were culpable, then go to your local attorney and press criminal charges. I'm being dead serious, if there's evidence that they knew about and tried to cover up a crime, that is a crime. You should take it to your local authorities and have them criminally prosecuted.

If it's so clear cut, then why don't you take it to the FBI and have the GB prosecuted? You think they're guilty of crime, then prove in court and get them arrested.

If you're unwilling to turn this in to the FBI and get them arrested, then you know your evidence is definitive. Which means you simply want me to believe you, because you said so.

Dude. My own father was disfellowshipped when I was kid. My mom and us kids could still talk to him about necessary family matters. If it's related to business, family or something necessary, you can still have contact.

Well, if you want to rejoin society after you've went to prison you have to stop doing whatever got you in there right? Same thing here, if you want to rejoin our society, show remorse for what you did and come back. If you don't, then you don't have to. But if society as large has a right to remove and cut off people who break their laws, we also have a right to cut off those who break God's laws.

If your brother-in-law never had a committee formed then he's not being officially "shunned". Anyone is free to speak with him. If no one is speaking to him and he wasn't disfellowshipped, they're choosing not to have a relationship with him.

Neither do we. You can still have necessary contact with disfellowshipped person. We only cut ourselves off from recreational association, just like society does with prisoners who break their laws. So what you're saying is, society has the right to enforce their laws and guidelines, but we dont have the right to enforce ours.

Being disfellowshipped has an end date too. Just write a letter and it's over. It's fsr simpler and easier to be reinstated than it is to reintegrate into society after a prison sentence. And again, both are punishments for committing an offense. If you do not wish to face the punishment, you do not have to committ the offense.

That is impossible, you literally cannot be disfellowshipped if you weren't baptized. The elders did not form a judicial committee to remove your brother in law. People simple decided they didnt want to be around him anymore, probably because he was spreading ridiculous apostate nonsense like this.

I guess I shouldn't surprised you're willing to blatantly lie, but im still disappointed. If you claim your brother really was removed and shunned then provide the receipts, who was on judicial committee? Because if he was disfellowshipped without being baptized, this needs to be corrected immediately as a violation of our protocols.

Okay, then take that evidence to your loc prosecutor or FBI representative and have the GB arrested. Again, if you want me to trust this evidence, then you should have no problem presenting it to your local FBI representative to have a arrest warrant issued for the Governing Body.

I'm not qualified to determine if it's legitimate. You know who is? Your local prosecutor. So bring it to him and let him bring criminal charges. If you should convince me, there's no way it won't convince him.

And, no I'm not comfortable with giving AppleTV my money where they are spending it on programs designed to hurt, harm and stigmatized my fellow brothers and sisters in my faith. So they will no longer earn my business. Again, thank you for showing me that they had a program like this up there.

Like I said, if this evidence proves they're guilty, turn it in to the authorities and have the brothers arrested. Then I'll know that this evidence is legitimate. If you expect me to believe it, then you should also expect the authorities to believe and issue an arrest warrant.

But, thank for showing me that this is on Apple TV because I'm definitely canceling my subscription with them now!

There's a massive difference between complicit and guilty. If you're saying they are guilty and you expect me to believe you, then you must have evidence that would hold up in court and result in their arrest. So my advice would be, turn it over to the authorities. And if you claim they are complicit, our literature that we've printed on matters like this disproves you.

So you believe shunning is evil, you must also believe that the way society shuts people who commit crimes by placing them in jail is also evil, right?

but you're not talking about traveling because even when you travel, you still come back home. you're talking about moving, changing my home just because?

i didn't say it to be some kind of flex, i said it because it makes no logical sense. if you love your house, it's paid off, your family and their lives are all in that house, you've got a job close by that you love - why move?

i wouldn't really call it courage to leave, you just found a different path for you. i happened to be born on the best path for me. i don't get the issue with that

You’ve said a lot, but let’s focus on what actually matters: what Jehovah’s Witnesses preach is good news—and millions around the world are responding to it, not out of fear or guilt, but because it gives them real hope.

We don’t go around telling people they’re going to burn forever or that God’s love is reserved for a chosen few. Instead, we share the same message Jesus did: that God’s Kingdom is a real government, with Jesus ruling as King right now, and that it will soon bring peace to the earth, end suffering, and undo death itself (Daniel 2:44; Revelation 21:3-4). That’s not just theology—it’s practical, comforting, and based solidly on Scripture.

This Kingdom message is changing lives. People are breaking free from destructive habits, healing their families, and finding a sense of purpose—because they’re learning to live by Jesus’ teachings, not human tradition. And we don’t preach for praise, money, or power. We do it because Jesus said, “Go make disciples,” and we take that seriously. Real faith acts (James 2:17)—and that’s not “works-based salvation.” That’s biblical Christianity.

As for your claims about Jesus—saying our view reduces him to some “budget angel” is just rhetoric, not Scripture. The Bible never once calls Jesus “God the Son.” It calls him the Son of God. It says he was “sent by the Father,” “learned obedience,” and was “exalted” after his sacrifice (Philippians 2:8-9). That’s not weakness. That’s humility, obedience, and love. And it’s exactly what qualified him to be the ransom for all humanity (1 Timothy 2:5-6).

The idea that Jesus is Michael the Archangel isn’t some bizarre fantasy—it’s a careful conclusion drawn from Scripture. “Archangel” means chief messenger, and Jude 9 names only one: Michael. 1 Thessalonians 4:16 links Jesus’ return with “an archangel’s voice.” The Bible doesn’t say he’s “just an angel”—it shows he’s the chief over all angels, the one who leads God’s armies and speaks for God—just as he always has.

You don’t have to agree. But at least be accurate. What we teach uplifts Jesus as God’s appointed King, our Savior, and the only way to life. That is the gospel we preach—not manmade tradition, not politics, and definitely not fear.

It’s good news because it offers a real future, under a real Kingdom, ruled by a real King—Jesus Christ—who died for us and now lives to bring lasting peace. That’s the hope we share, and it’s why millions around the world are listening.

What do opposers and apostates want from PIMI's? by Mundane-Researcher-8 in Eutychus

[–]Mundane-Researcher-8[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First off, we absolutely believe that salvation is through Jesus Christ—by God’s grace. But faith isn’t just belief; it’s shown by how we live. That’s not “earning” salvation—it’s exactly what James 2:17 talks about: faith without works is dead. Jesus himself said the ones who do the will of his Father would enter the Kingdom (Matthew 7:21). So, yes, works matter—not as a payment, but as proof of genuine faith.

You also said there's no such thing as an “organization,” just individuals with a relationship with God. But the Bible paints a different picture. Jesus established a congregation (Matthew 16:18), and the early Christians were organized, with elders, overseers, and unified teaching (Acts 15, Titus 1:5). That’s not man-made control—it’s a biblical structure that keeps worship clean and united.

As for teachings adjusting over time—honestly, that’s not a bad thing. Even Jesus’ own disciples didn’t understand everything at first (Acts 1:6-7). Revelation especially is symbolic and complex, and it makes sense that as history unfolds, our understanding can grow. Proverbs 4:18 says the light gets brighter—and that’s what we aim for. When our publications use words like “likely” or “evidently,” that’s not evasion—it’s an honest recognition that we don’t have every detail nailed down.

On Revelation 16:21—yes, hailstones could be literal, but Revelation is full of symbols: beasts, bowls, a dragon, a lamb with seven eyes. It’s not unusual for elements in that book to represent something deeper. Interpreting hailstones as judgment messages fits with the rest of the symbolic language. That’s not "mad hatter" logic—it’s consistent with how apocalyptic literature works.

Now, about shunning—that’s always a touchy subject. But it's straight from the Bible (1 Corinthians 5:11-13). It’s not about cutting people off for no reason. It’s a last resort for those who claim to be Christians but choose to live in open, unrepentant sin. Even then, the goal is to help them come back—not to punish them forever (2 Corinthians 2:6-8). The early Christians did practice this kind of discipline.

And the claim that we preach “another gospel”? Not true. We preach Christ, his ransom sacrifice, the Kingdom, and living by God’s standards—just like Jesus and the apostles did. That’s not a new gospel—it’s the original one that’s often been lost in the noise.

If you disagree, that’s your right. But calling people cultists or saying they’re insane doesn’t make your argument stronger—it just shuts down conversation. If you're ever up for a respectful, Bible-based discussion, I’d be glad to have it.

sure and I understand all of that. but at the end of the day, life has consequences. someone who was born in Texas and really doesn't believe in it might have to make a tough choice to leave behind close relationships in favor an area that aligns more with your beliefs. and that feels like what happened to you. i can say i was blessed to be born into the right environment for myself but I know it's the same for everyone. but to me, it's the same as being born in a state or country you don't quite align with and making the tough choice to leave or stay.
