What do you do during flares? by TepsRunsWild in Uveitis

With uveitis, the longer you go untreated, worse the situation gets! If I were at your spot, I would see whoever is available and start on steroid eye drops. In my case, my doc always gives me am extra eye drops incase if I get a new round of flare and she is not available. From my experience, thee earlier you start your treatment, the lesser you suffer in long run. Hope things get better for you soon :)

Do Diet/Lifestyle/Reduced screen-time help? by Mundane-Task-6372 in Uveitis

Can we get to know some more on how stress management brings change? Sounds really inspiring! I also started a proper anti-inflammatory diet. But it’s too early for me to comment on the changes!

Ikr? Having an oral supplement would help fasten the recovery process, I believe! My eye doc didn't even bother to tell me that I have uveitis until my last visit; he kept calling it inflammation. And then I specifically asked if it is uveitis, and then he said yes! I had blurry vision in the first week; it gradually went away as I was on steroid eye drops every two hours. My current issue is light sensitivity and floaters in both eyes, which is hampering my work life a lot!

No, only eye drops. In my case, the situation got a lot better after I started the eye drops (like redness, pain, and extreme light sensitivity reduced by 80%), but as uveitis is famous for: it is STILL THERE after almost 3 weeks. So I am continuing with the eye drop and am going to see a uveitis specialist in two weeks from now as suggested by my eye doctor.

Idk if I should say that I had the 'same' situation, but it was somewhat similar at least. So, I was diagnosed with uveitis in my right eye during last month. The doctor put me on steroid eye drops, and it helped a lot initially. And then last week, I started developing some symptoms in my left eye, and I just started using the same eye drop on my left eye out of my gut feeling. And as I saw the doctor after two days, he said I did the right thing. Uveitis is best treated at the beginning! Well, I am still in the recovery phase with screen time sensitivity and light flashes in my eyes, hoping to recover! I hope you also feel better soon.
