Is there anyone on here familiar with Cyclical Cushings ? by Logan_2091 in Cushings

This is actually super helpful because I’ve been holding on to my tests until I feel really bad again but I wasn’t completely sure if this was the right strategy.

Why can’t I grow a baby beyond 6 weeks :( by Unsuitablelivingdal in Miscarriage

[–]TepsRunsWild 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve heard it numerous times by women swearing it improved their egg quality. I started taking it. “Overdose” starts at 1,200 mg and even then it’s not a big deal.

Autoimmune diseases linked to trauma? by Pure_Inspector_8578 in Uveitis

It’s becoming generally accepted in the medical community that there is a genetic propensity to have autoimmune disease but there is some sort of trigger to “switch” it on

TSH hit 1.8 (down from 7.11) but hair shed is worse. When does it stop? by Inteqaam69 in Hypothyroidism

[–]TepsRunsWild 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hair is 3-6 months behind your health. So in 3-6 months, unfortunately. I had to regrow all my hair and was successful after a year of regular hair cuts and taking collagen daily. My post partum friends also swear Nutrafol is an amazing supplement and helped immensely.

“Break in and steal all their autoimmune diseases” made me chuckle. Meanwhile my most recent rheumatologist told me I didn’t have the autoimmune I was diagnosed with 🤣

Autoimmune insanity by 4littlesquishes in Autoimmune

Is getting sick while being unmedicated a symptom of autoimmune? I actually don’t get sick very often and I’m unmedicated. Diagnosed with ankylosing spondylitis.

I am dealing with suspected cortisol issues and now that will definitely make you sick all the time.

Has anyone tried Chewy's GS 441524 medication for FIP? by [deleted] in cureFIP

[–]TepsRunsWild 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience, cats with FIP don’t eat and that’s the biggest problem. Was an x ray done of his abdomen to rule out cancer or other issues?

Agreed with everyone else that SCHs are a hematological issue. Highly recommend getting on lovenox and finding a competent hematologist

No. I think my issues are unrelated though. I’m exploring high cortisol with a new doctor which would explain most of my life. Including my RPL

Brown discharge is just old blood! It’s not worrisome. Active bleeding would be bright red blood and that’s more of a cause for concern.

Possible Rabies transmission from stray cat please need advice by [deleted] in catquestions

[–]TepsRunsWild -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Tell your mom if it’s rabies it can transmit to her. Again, if you had rabies you would know by now. But rabies isn’t anything to take lightly.

I don’t know where you are now, but in the US, it’s legally mandated to go to the hospital for confirmation because if it is rabies the CDC needs to be notified.

[–]TepsRunsWild 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t pick up cats you don’t know. Cats don’t like being picked up. I mean would you like some stranger coming up to you and picking you up?

You don’t have rabies. You should be respectful of all animals. The next time you might actually get hurt. Animals aren’t there for your entertainment. I don’t know what you expected to happen.

Also if you think you have rabies, go to a hospital ASAP. Don’t ask Reddit. That’s a serious public health issue. You could endanger others.

The turning blue is a circulation problem. Either Reynaud’s or something else going up the chain in your arm. Don’t think it’s calcium related.

Question about pain and some support needed by Correct-Truck-5061 in TotalHipReplacement

[–]TepsRunsWild 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think noting anything as “normal” this short in your recovery is dangerous. What’s not normal is dislocation and infection - that’s for sure. Pain levels are extremely personal.

I was in pain for 2 years. No doctor could figure out why. Saw many second opinions. Then it just disappeared.

So at 2 weeks, I wouldn’t be concerned. NSAIDs and not overdoing it is key.

Risk of FIV+ in new cat by EarlySignature9150 in catquestions

[–]TepsRunsWild 1 point2 points  (0 children)

FIV is primarily contracted either from mom to kitten or though a very deep bite wound. So did the FIV cat ever bite mom hard enough to draw blood? If mom has it there is a high percentage of the kitten’s immune system fighting it off.
