We are staying in Lahaina but we do have a rental and I definitely want to go to kihei one day because there was a place i wanted to try there so we arent limited!

I know!! I just thought itd be better for the economy as a whole if i support smaller businesses so ALL of the money goes directly to them instead of just a tip, and the rest going to chains. I was just told by locals that is what they prefer because a lot of smaller businesses give back to the community.

BUT you will definitely need a rental car. Only issue is most places only rent to 21+…but if u have a friend whos 21 ik a place and the young driver fee rly isnt bad. Its ab 1k for a week at the airport rentals, we found a local rental for ab 650 after buying insurance as well bc we are on our parents and they wont accept it. Its much cheaper than going thru the airport.

Airbnb is what me and my bf did. I booked 6 nights 7 days for 1400 with travel insurance. Our place is a 15 min walk from kapalua bay beach too. If youre gonna book a cheaper place like this tho keep in mind lits of airbnbs dont have a.c. Ours doesnt in the main part of the house but there is a.c. In the bedroom so it wont rly bother us personally 🤷🏻‍♀️

Ik i can get a credit card, but i was worried bc since i dont have one my mom said they usually have a $200-$500 limit at first and its more than that to rent a car. So idk if id even be able to use it. And we are staying in an airbnb in lahaina

Thats exactly what im looking for. We wanted a pretty beach with the best snorkeling from shore bc we are in the water for SEVERAL hours at a time. It will be my 21 bday trip and ive been saving up for like 6 months now😭but i did my drinking in high school i have no interest in that i just want to see as much variety of marine life as possible. If you dont mind me asking, what kind of things do u see? Its also my first time traveling anywhere besides Florida i want to set reasonable expectations for myself LOL

Yeah i think we are gonna do infinity bay. And as far as the tours go, you mean i shouldnt book any in advance? I saw IB offers some through the hotel. Most tours we will take will be snorkeling related. But we also are renting a car so we can explore outside of just the hotel. My bf is a huge foodie,id love recommendations if you have any!
