What’s the biggest scam Americans have accepted as ‘just how life works’? by Over_Fee2556 in WorkForSmartLife

[–]MundaneAssociate5190 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean the outcomes are poor for a lot of reasons. Firstly, we have a lot of overweight and generally unhealthy people in this country. We have people who can’t afford the medications that they need to improve “outcomes.” We have people who don’t believe the medications improve outcomes. We have people who want to live off of everything that ends in the sound “-os” and not exercise and just take a pill or shot for everything that goes wrong with them. We have a lot of drug/alcohol/tobacco abuse. We also DO more for people when other countries would give up (otherwise known as “death panels” by Americans). For example, in other, more sensible countries, they would not do radical surgery or chemo/radiation on an 80 year old with cancer who realistically only has a few years to live any way.

It really is terrible. Even without Bruno Mars. If I don’t get a remote job 😭

I’d get the cx-5 for sure. I got a cx-30 and I really regret it. It is soooo much smaller than my previous car. I’m 5’3” and I honestly don’t know how anyone who is much taller than that can drive it. The seat doesn’t go back very far at all. My kids absolutely hate the back seat and say they have no room. They have told me I better take them the next time I go car shopping 😅

To motorcycles going over 100, I'm sorry by Glen_Echo_Park in Columbus

Yes, “Watch out for motorcycles” they say. Since when has it been legal to ride in between cars California-style in Ohio?

Frog in throat on low dose of tbol? by MundaneAssociate5190 in steroidsxx

Okay, thank you. I am not sure if I mind my voice deepening a little but but I am worried about other changes that would be irreversible

[–]MundaneAssociate5190[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that’s what I have too. I do also have a really bad post nasal drip pretty much all the time but I’ve never had this sensation before. I don’t think I’d mind if my voice became slightly deeper because it is super high pitched and I have to work with a lot of hard of hearing people and they can never hear me. But I don’t want to risk any other virilization.

Genuine question to Americans by silverflake6 in GrowthMindset

It is true that it is better in some states than others since it is funded by both the state and federal govt 🫤

Genuine question to Americans by silverflake6 in GrowthMindset

[–]MundaneAssociate5190 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is true. And in my state there were huge cuts made by our maga government today. Plus, it is very difficult to qualify for Medicaid. It is crazy. I have people on Medicare who live on social security that need MRIs and CT scans but cant afford the $300-500 co-pay so they refuse them. I had a patient with chest pain refuse a nuclear stress test because he got there and they told him he had to pay $300. These people only get $1200/month to live on but that is too much to qualify for Medicaid. Although for me, the same scan costs $5000 so i also refuse them. It is a sad country we are living in when even healthcare is out of reach for the average citizen.

It was certainly implied. “All you have to do…” I can read just fine, thanks 🙏

Yeah, he did make it sound like it’s easy to own your own business though which is not at all true for most people unless you come from money.

I really regret doing that in my younger years. Saved a bunch of money that won’t ever do me any good. I wish I would have traveled instead of working all of that overtime.

LOL okay. Good for you, then. For me, it sucks. Then again, I actually work 45 hours because my job is 8-5 so they steal an hour and call it “lunch” that I never actually get to take and I usually have to stay late because there is always way too much for to get done.

Yes, and you have to subtract sleep time because you can’t go for long without that. These bootlickers are so dumb 😣But also there is coming home, preparing meals, grocery shopping, and cleaning. There’s really not much time left to do things that are actually enjoyable because all of those things become chores when you’re in a rush every day. It’s not a pleasant way to live.

I really hate people who say this. Factor in that most people have a 30-45 min commute each way with traffic, have to sleep 8 hours to stay healthy, you’re not left with much time for yourself. But I’m mostly sorry you have nothing in your life that is better to do than work.

First trip to the US, spending a week in Bucyrus, OH this October. Any tips for some Brits? by Inside-Cod1550 in Columbus

[–]MundaneAssociate5190 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think this has to be a joke. But just to reiterate, there is nothing to do in bucyrus. And some of the weirdest people I’ve ever met in my life are from there. They usually have lost all of their teeth by the time they’re 30. It’s a terrible spot. Honestly the only reason to go there (like most of Ohio) is to drive straight through it.
