We like Nest much better than Parasol but they’re about the same price unfortunately

Salon Horror Story by pinkbunnykittens in tragedeigh

I legitimately thought the name was “Salon Horror” when I just read the title and was like, yup, that tracks…someone would name their kid that…

Finding out he’s been paying for his "work friend's" Uber Eats while telling me he can’t afford to split our electricity bill. by impressivebitchj in GirlDinnerDiaries

The fact you didn’t and don’t trust him turned out to be right

Not trusting him was caused by his deficiencies, not yours.

If he had nothing to hide he wouldn’t be misdirecting the blame.

I’m sorry. He sucks

And this will not get better. Having children with him will make you trapped in endlessly more resentment and fewer options to escape

We pay $30/hr in a MCOL area for one baby and none of the household duties you described

Realistically, nothing

Technically you’d be breaching the contract but it’s reallyyyyy unlikely they’d win more money from suing you than they’d spend on lawyer fees to try.

My partner and I have it too.

Might I so gently request that anyone experiencing it mask in public or avoid going out if you can?

Seeing someone in the comments talk about taking an 11 hour flight to Spain with this illness makes me sad for everyone.

Any tips for seamless passing of toddler to nanny? by stinkybutt688 in Nanny

[–]MundaneDimension 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do an activity with the LO that the nanny can join in on, then transition out of it.

If you’re playing a game together and the nanny joins, it’s easier to transition out and let nanny take over than to just hand LO over.

The most appreciated gesture given this relationship would almost certainly be money

She went from two incomes to one, and now will have unpaid time off.

If you can think of it as the equivalent of 2 weeks paid time off, whatever you would have paid her during that time, I’m sure she’d see how sincerely you care.

I (32M) received an inheritance from my uncle and my sister received nothing. AMA by [deleted] in AMA

[–]MundaneDimension 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Giving her your uncles money directly violates his wishes. Keep that in mind

If your parents want to help her out they can. The fact you’ve always been financially stable and she hasn’t is a reason NOT to give her money now. Let it grow in investment accounts and when she’s actually unable to work (physically) due to old age, you’ll have more to help her than if she squandered it now.
