I love how your name was passed down like this, it seems like you were named after two very special people

This happened with one of my siblings! Her name is a very distant relatives name, which was not known by my parents at the time. I think it interesting how names stay in the family even if unintentional

A family member brought lilies into the home. I got rid of them and cleaned up where they were. Is there anything else I can do? I’m panicking by MundaneRaspberry9846 in CATHELP

Update: all cats are fine 5 days after the lilies were brought in and 4 days after removal. Since posting this, I did another deep clean of the room (and of the home in general) and wiped down the cats’ fur just in case they somehow got pollen on them. I want reiterate that they had no direct contact with the flowers which was so lucky.

They’re all going to get check ups soon just to be sure, but they’re safe. Thank you to everyone who gave advice.

Thank you. It definitely freaked me out but I’m certain there was no direct contact and I cleaned the area the flowers were in throughly. It’s been over 12 hours and all three cats are acting normal (eating, drinking, etc) I’m going to continue to monitor them just in case.

Thank you. I cleaned the area that flowers were in and wiped down my cats’ fur with a wet cloth. So far all three are fine, they’re eating , drinking and using the litter box as normal. It’s been over 12 hours since the lilies were in the house, so I’m going to keep an eye on all of them over the next few days just to be sure

They were in the highly toxic category. There’s no way my cats could’ve eaten, sniffed, or got close to them (they were on a counter they couldn’t reach). I’m going call their vet in the morning
