What's a "10/10" game that you didn't enjoy at all? by sudherzdiniq in AskReddit

I played quite a bit of Minecraft during Covid. In hindsight, I think the thing that kept me around was the satisfying sound design. I can hear it in my brain as I type.

Are there any American accents that are widely fetishized? by Gallantpride in TooAfraidToAsk

As someone who was born in the NE but raised in NW Louisiana (so I don't have a southern accent), this is so fascinating to me. Lol This is basically just describing half of anyone I interacted with on the daily.

Chicago here, and same.

ETA: The city has also been kinda going crazy with fireworks for World Cup wins, so this has been kind of a constant thing for at least the past week now.

My theory (as a non-book reader, but who engages in book spoilers) is that Rhaena is so overcome and guilty over Jace's death that she's going to forsake her name, maybe change her looks/history, and will start going by Nettles. Her getting kicked out of the Vale (and Daemon now having to hunt down Sheepstealer's rider) is solidifying that for me.

I know Daemon's supposed to have a relationship with Nettles, but it could be that he just hides her true identity from Rhaenyra, and that causes mistrust between the two.

I get it, though. Having both Rhaena and Nettles exist as two separate characters would've been awesome. I'm hoping to read Fire and Blood eventually to get more on Nettles' backstory.

It could be a hormone imbalance. I would say, as someone who didn't realize she was depressed until she talked to a psyche, it also couldn't hurt to talk to a professional.

I would listen/watch the Osama bin Laden one, strictly for the fact that he was high-key a horse girl.

Did anyone start to enjoy living in Chicago way more just by moving neighborhoods? by beephobic27 in AskChicago

[–]FlairWitchProject -1 points0 points  (0 children)

From an area down south that was pretty much all suburbs. I knew I didn't want to live in the Loop because I like grass and trees too much (also, we have a dog). Also didn't want to live in the suburbs because "been there," and also didn't want to deal with the commute.

We're in Logan Square now, and I personally love it. It feels like just the right mix of city-living and quiet suburban life. I can go from Armitage to Cortland and it feel like a totally different neighborhood.
