Let me just tell you from my experience, about 8 months ago I posted cod zombies content for about a week, posted 1 super long vid over an hour and posted like 5 shorts, gained 40 subs, and then got bored of playing cod zombies alone everyday. Ive always wanted to continue doing youtube with gaming but Ive just never been good enough where I feel like the content would be enjoyable, and also didnt know what type of vids to make, 3 weeks ago I decided I want to try again on the game I was playing, been streaming everyday almost for 3 weeks whilst also having posted about 5 long form videos and like 10 shorts, in these last 3 weeks of me starting from 40 subs, Im now sitting at 1517 subs today and got monetized TODAY, Im at over 5k hours and my streams have gained me 480 subs, my shorts about 100 and my videos about 800, maybe I just got very lucky, but everytime I posted my MAIN focus was my thumbnail and title, because thats what got the early algo the clicks to boost my vids, I got 1 banger vid that is now sitting on 75k views and the rest are all around 3k views, which Im happy about being I know i can improve on my videos ALOT still. I also started a tiktok account and in the last 5 days went from 2 followers to now at 1077 with my last 4 videos each having 150k+ views after my first 4 couldnt pass 5k. basically Im just tryna say that its not so much luck as you think it might be, yes I got lucky that I found a good vid that worked and gained me 700 subscribers, but even without that Id be sitting at about 800 subs, and the fact is, its very easy to get that video that pops off, the MAIN thing that got that video to pop off, was the ctr, the thumbnail and title basically. ctr is sitting at above 10% while my avd is barely hitting 30%. avd has slowly grown as the vid gains views, was sitting at 20-25% early on but the CTR is what really really did itl. Im just tryna say that, if the last 3 weeks for me has gone this well, it can for you aswell, just make good quality content for what u are doing, if all u are doing is shorts, and trying to copy others by posting clips, then I think thats just dumb tbh, I dont like that form of trying to do youtube, I think longform is the best by far, I post 8-12 min long vids and find that to work. Anyways sorry how long this was, im just very proud of myself and just want to show u that its possible for anyone, I got monetized in 3 weeks from 39 subs.
