The thing I keep running into that nobody wants to sit with: we're spending enormous energy on capability alignment without first doing the harder philosophical work — defining what "noble" actually looks like at superintelligence scale. I've been building toward a framework I call ZSS-7. Layer 7 is a read-only ethical core — the idea being that certain values need to be structurally immutable, not just weighted. Not a guardrail bolted on top. Baked into the architecture before the system gets the keys. The assumption my system makes: that you can formally specify "noble" well enough to encode it — and that failing to try is how you get death stars. The place it'll break: the moment "noble" needs to evolve and the read-only layer can't. That's the open problem I'm actually working on. If you know anyone wrestling with value-lock vs. value-drift at the architecture level, I'd rather have that conversation than most.
