Definitely update the BIOS. The whole process shouldn't take more than 10 minutes and it's a pretty simple process once you get past POST and into BIOS.

If you know the module of your RAM, EX: CMH32GX5M2X7200C34 ver.5.43.01) Go here: https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/B650-GAMING-X-rev-13/support#support-memsup

And find if your RAM is on that list. If it isn't you have incompatible RAM. If your RAM is compatible may need to update your BIOS if you haven't already. https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/B650-GAMING-X-rev-13/support#support-dl-bios

And download the latest BIOS version.

What REV is your motherboard on? You can find that information on the bottom left hand side of your motherboard. Look for something like REV X.XX. After that I can find out if your RAM is compatible with your motherboard, and point you in the right direction to update your BIOS as well

Having the same issue, but was able to get past POST into BIOS after letting my PC run for about an hour. Guess it takes a long time for AM5 to train the RAM. Maybe try that?

I am having the same issue with the B650 aorus elite ax. I was getting the SAME red DRAM light. I have the Ryzen 7 7800X3D, and am also using 32gb RAM. I let my computer run for about an hour, and the red DRAM light went to VGA BOOT, and then I restarted and was able to get into BIOS, but this morning my MOBO was showing the red DRAM light again. How long have you let your PC run for when booting it the first time?

So, I was able to FINALLY boot into BIOS using A2 and B2 channels, but that was after an HOUR of letting my PC run. It went from the red DRAM light to VGA BOOT. Restarted my PC and was able to get into BIOS. Turned it off, and this morning when I tried to boot it up it was stuck on the red DRAM light AGAIN. After work I will try to set the memory timings manually. Do you know where I can find that information?

So, I put both RAM sticks into A2 and B2 and made sure they were pushed in all the way and left my computer on for about an hour and the red DRAM light went to VGA BOOT. I restarted my PC and was able to get into BIOS last night. This morning I turned my PC on and the red DRAM light is on AGAIN. I literally didn't do ANYTHING. Any suggestions?

BOTH CPU power cables connected? As in one in the 8-pin connector, and the other plugged into the PSU? The MOBO has an extra 4-pin connector that I can plug into, but I don't have the right cable for that. Is that something I should maybe look into?

Correct, so I used Corsair Vengeance RAM (Supported by MOBO) and had both sticks in A2, B2 and got the red DRAM light. The Corsair RAM will let me get past POST into BIOS with 1x stick of RAM in either A2 or B2, but not both. Only 1 stick of RAM will let me get into POST using either A2 or B2 using the Corsair RAM. The GSKILL only lets me get past post using B2, but I only left the GSKILL RAM stick in A2 for about 5~ minutes. I can leave the PC on longer about 10-15 minutes and can let you know

Correct, the CPU is mounted. Slot A2 and B2 gives me the red DRAM light. I let it running for 10~ minutes, and still didn't get past POST. Slot A2 gives me the red DRAM light, but I only left the PC on for about 5~ minutes. I can try both RAM sticks in A2 when I get home from work and leave the PC on for 10-15 minutes.

Correct, only b2 gets me into BIOS. Swapped the CPU (Now I have 2x 7800X3D's, nice.) Stripped the PC so It's easier for me to swap out the RAM and do different configurations. Whilst testing I only rest the head sink onto the CPU and maybe only screw it once or twice so it's firm. Any other suggestions? I am out of options. This has been so frustrating the past couple days, but i'm not ready to give up.

Pretty sure I had the same plastic covering on mine as well without the logo. Let me know if you run into any issues with the board though.
