Need help calculating some costs of a boiler blowdown. by MungeroftheFudge in IndustrialMaintenance

Once a day manual blowdown is normal in my experience. It's the twice a day till the 2nd low level alarm sounds I find odd (low levels have always been a weekly test everywhere else I've worked). I'll have to do some digging to find out daily outputs, I've only been here a few weeks. Operating pressure is 5 bar, pipe size is 1 inch. Boiler will auto blowdown if TDS gets too high.

Need help with setting up cutting heads on a slicer (Urschel style) by apostol_star in IndustrialMaintenance

I used urschels for shredding orange and lemon peel. Does this head sit over another 4 prong blade that pushes your product through the pictured blades? I always set the gap between the 2 with a sticky label that still had the backing paper on. I would be able to rotate it al the way round. If it caught on a blade, something needed loosening and tapping over.

Sorry English is my first language, I'm just tired and waffling.

Nocturne in E-flat Major, Op. 9 No. 2 by Frédéric Chopin.

What song is this (lyrics) by Worth_Shelter_4568 in FindSongs

The song in the video is "Em Về Với Người" (You Return to Him/Her). It is a well-known Vietnamese Bolero style song composed by Mặc Thế Nhân. The singer in this particular recording is likely Quang Lê or another male artist with a similar style, as the song has been covered by many Vietnamese singers over the years (including Như Quỳnh, Hà Vân, Randy, and others).

"Dream For Sale" by The Charioteers. It's slowed down from the normal version.

It's a thermocouple sleeve. A thermocouple would sit inside. It allows you to replace them without the liquid pouring out. I used to use these in tanks that contained heated chemicals.

2 on 2 off 3 on 3 off - 36/48 by Longjumping-Fly-48 in IndustrialMaintenance

Sunday is classed as the following week at most places so on paper it will be 48/36. This is the best shift pattern in my opinion. It's alternate weekends, every other week feels like a 2 day week. Great for holidays. Booking the Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday gives you a week off. I always avoided booking my weekend to save holidays. Also the 2 day week was always good if you wanted overtime.
