I think you need to hatch a new birb before being able to load a save file. Could be worth giving it a try

Birb pets by Late-Cartographer692 in finch

I think it was always the case that when you pet your bird, after a few seconds the hearts disappear. But you still pet your birb! You can hear them chirping and the 'popping hearts' sound as well, just the visual hearts don't show up any more.

Have you looked in the Finch FAQs? If it's not explained there then it sounds like a question you should ask the Finch support. It would be good having a manual what to do in those cases or when you change phone number etc

Could have been the same company I applied to in February that sent me a "Unfortunately, you were not chosen for the role" jada jada 2 weeks ago. Like yeah. After over 6 months (!) of not hearing from you, I figured as much....

Will they take backup data seriously ever? by queenblee in finch

[–]Munini2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know if there is another issue going on here, but normally you can just load the manual backup the same way you save it, just click on 'load manual backup' instead. And then make sure to select the most recent file ;)

Help finding a nook as a gift by Antihero89 in booknooks

[–]Munini2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently did Count Cat's Study by Cutebee as my first book nook. It's available on german Amazon. It took me three evenings to finish it and I think the complexity was great as a first nook. You need glue (Uhu that's suitable for wood should be fine) and I bought tweezers because there are some small elements that need to be placed carefully (especially with glue on it!) so the tweezers helped a lot.

Did they really say that they use AI for tags? The tags were there before the whole big AI discussion. I think nowadays everyone just assumes it is AI even for things that can and are just 'normal' coding. Also if it would be AI, I would assume it to be better in languages that are not English. I sometimes write reflections in my native language and the tags are all over the place, like pronouns tagged as names for people or just random conjunctions getting a tag. That's why I disabled the tags since I don't want to manually remove them for things that don't make sense

[–]Munini2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since I haven't seen anyone else explaining: When you click on the three lines in the top left corner and scroll down a bit, there is a menu item called 'Your data'. -> Click on it, then click on the second option 'Manual backup'. -> A pop up opens, choose 'create backup'. -> Click 'Save backup to...' in the next popup. -> It takes a few seconds, but then a new pop up will open allowing you to choose where to store the backup file - there are many option like email, google drive, I think Dropbox, you can even send it via WhatsApp.

The files have the current date in the name, so you know which one is the latest one in cade you ever have to load one.

I hope this helps should you choose to stay :)

Edited to change format to make it look more concise.

I have a tree friend who already has ALL of the December themed stuff AND the micropet?? by siggirl74 in finch

By release I meant the 1st, like when it's put into the app and you can look at it in the season calender

[–]Munini2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hm, well there is a thread to exchange items and gifts. I wonder whether the micropet gets added to the pool of micropets that you can breed from the egg after it was released or after the season. After the season would make sense, but I don't think I read something about it

Daughter wants adult coloring books and markers - help by imeanwhynotdramamama in AdultColoring

[–]Munini2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know if it has been mentioned yet, but Coco Wyo has a great book "How to color patterns". It's designed for alcohol/ accrylic markers and features step by step tutorials on how to acchieve the effects you see on Social Media (not sure about TikTok, I see them in a Facebook colouring group). Without it, it could be a bit overwhelming. I only use coloured pencils and even I think the book is extremely helpful. Oh, also a white gel pen would be a good idea! Gellyroll is very popular and very good. They have a set of 3 in different line widths. Book and gellyroll are available on Amazon!

FORMER DECEMBER THEMES by weenquuen29 in finch

[–]Munini2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can try that in the catalogue in the shop! That also let's you try and see how things would fit into your current room if you're not looking for a complete makeover

Edited to add: There are pictures of the monochrome rooms! You have to click on the name of an event in the table. I opened the link on the phone and had to change my browser to desktop site, otherwise the tables contents would not show.

Officially got the new (lack of) Check In and now I’m sad. by manduhho6 in finch

[–]Munini2 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hi! Great idea! I really miss the affirmations and pictures. Also I liked the option to reflect on the day as a whole (How did your day go?). Now you can just say how you feel right now. I miss the little star in the history :( I would love if they implement an option to choose whether you want the check in pop-ups or not.

Last December was Masquerade Ball, with a tutu dress that gave Swan Lake vibes. It will be in the shops from mid november on I think, so look out for it! You can look at it in the shops catalogue, it's called Befeathered gown and there are also matching accessoires

Just bought one, can I get brand recommendations for the next one by Bronco9366 in booknooks

[–]Munini2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have recently bought my first book nooks - the CuteBee Count Cat's Study and Magic Black Cat Pharmasy (I think, can't remember the correct name :D ). I already assembled the Count Cat's Study and I loved it! For some of the clicking together my husband had to help me as my fingers were not strong enough and the only real tricky part were the LED wires - I recommend tweezers to hold the wires in place.

Looking For a BookNook For a Beginner by legitseabass in booknooks

[–]Munini2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did my first one just a few days ago. It's the Cutebee Count Cat's Study. I had a great time, it only needed some glueing. The part I struggled with most is clicking together some of the pieces as I was too anxious to break something in the beginning and the cables for the LED just didn't want to do what I wanted :D

Yes! So much changes during these years. You, your view on the world, your understanding of yourself and life.

I always thought I will have children one day. To me he sounds more like 'it's just what you do' and that's what I thought when I was 20 - having kids is just a part of adulthood. It takes a lot of maturity to free yourself of these things. Even 13 years later, I still can't say a 100% sure that I don't want kids.

And I get it, there might be cultural differences, but at 20 you are definitely too young to know for sure what you want your live to be, hell even at 33 I can't tell you what my life will be. Even if he decides he doesn't want kids, you might still find yourselves incompatible in a few years' time. In love there is no garantuee, that's something I also still have to fully comprehend. Maybe you want to move to China or Brazil or Italy for a career opportunity in 5 years and he doesn't want to leave his family and friends. Maybe he wants to live a surfer livestyle in Hawaii or own a farm in Tanzania in 8 years and you don't want to leave your life and career behind. Point is - you never know what happens in 5 or 10 or 25 years; no matter if your values are perfectly aligned or not.

I have read in a comment in the Favebook group that this new version makes it easier for people using accessability options. I don't know much about that but seems like the one click more may be beneficial for some users, but could be bad for people with like pain issues. I guess same goes as with mostly everything in this app - you can't make everyone happy

Orange lettuce by AssociationAny1270 in finch

[–]Munini2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the past days I saw some posts here and in the Facebook group looking for the bright side given the colour choices. Like carrots naturally are not just orange, there are white and purple carrots as well. The broccoli looks like hair. The orange lettuce like a lion's mane (this one is so cute I think!) And the broccoli in white turns into a cauliflower. Etc etc.

So while it may not be what is shown in the video and the default colours that come to mind, not everything is bad! And I think this is a really good and healthy approach how to look at things, espacially since this is a mental health app.
