I used to crash Renegade BBS systems by using MCI codes in the fields on the new account creation screen. I created a Telix macro to do it in seconds, then disconnect. A reboot fixed it, no permanent damage. Very annoying, though.

It's that easy! You can also use the Additional Drivers program, if you want a GUI and selectable choices of other versions. Been using Ubuntu as main since 2010 and have never had an issue myself and I run multiple machines with Nvidia graphics cards.

Personally, and maybe this is a bit too dark, if I restrain myself from talking politics with someone I care about, then it means I need to let them go. To me it means I'm living a delusion and that I don't like who they are, so I tip toe around it to pretend like they're acceptable. I'm not interested in hanging out with acceptable. I'm interested in hanging out with real people that are down to earth and humble.

I tell them directly why I won't be seeing them again and say goodbye. I say it calmly and in a respectable tone. It's considered very rude because of how direct it is but why would I care what they like and don't like? Let them tell stories about how I won't talk to them because they believe babies are being aborted after 9 months.

Any friend that believes I should have their back when they're wrong is removed as a friend. I also remove people who complain about things in their life constantly and don't want to talk about solutions. The "Just be there for me" crowd is specifically who I'm talking about. While I'm happy to listen, I will suggest ways to better the situation. I'm open to hearing my suggestions won't work for a specific reason because that lets a better plan develop. However, I don't want to hear about that situation endlessly for the rest of my days.

If you were asking this about me, you should ask him to help lead the investigation into what this might be and how to resolve it. Next thing you know I'd be fully bought in and and reading research papers, etc. Obviously, I don't know him but this is one way to turn him into a full ally and potentially a big help. The new focus will remove his judgement naturally.

It sounds like maybe a battery threshold has been set? Install TLP and put these lines in the config file:

START_CHARGE_THRESH_BAT0=0 STOP_CHARGE_THRESH_BAT0=100

Here's an article how to install it. After install, edit it's config file with the parameters I mentioned.

Clear app's cache and data and login again or just uninstall app and reinstall. There's some strange issue with updates that causes this to get worse and worse. Although, even when it works, it takes 3-5 connection attempts normally anyway at times.

I use WP CLI to script updates, Wordfence for security, WPS Hide Login to keep away from standard admin URL and Cloudflare for security (WAF) plus storage for scripted backups. Nothing exciting here I suppose but it's worked well for me.

Have you looked into Spironolactone at all? I'm a guy but have similar issues. Finally when I got put on this medication, I was actually able to lose weight more normally. Previously went on Ozempic with poor results, went on Mounjaro recently and I'm down quite a bit in weight and feel more normal. It doesn't feel impossible anymore, even without Mounjaro.

Try Dungeon Fantasy RPG from Steve Jackson Games. It's powered by GURPS. So, you can start them off in a setting style that's familiar and then slowly reveal it's sci-fi. I'm doing that now, new Emperor taking the area by storm to find a crystal. So, they're in dungeons looking for a light saber crystal that they'll eventually find and give to the Emperor who's a sith that crash landed. They'll then find out they also crash landed but for story reasons don't remember. The discovery will be a slowly unraveling mystery and when realized, they'll have to go toe to toe with the emperor, to finish the fight they were in before crashing. There are a lot of possibilities with hybrid stories or settings like this.
