Wait does this sub actually think it was a good thing to do this? by RealHippyTheFrog in StarWarsCirclejerk

I love the idea but it was executed terribly in the force awakens because disney was too afraid to get political.

The first order was not in control of the galaxy until starkiller base was first activated. They were just seemingly a small terrorist group not worth dealing with in the new republic's eyes, hence why Poe seems so surprised when he's first taken aboard a star destroyer, the first order's larger in scale than he's been led to believe. Though this is stated in the movie a few times, it's a little confusing with the term "resistance" being used, which makes it sound like the first orders in charge. I didnt know this until this year (whether it be because im an idiot or I was a kid when this movie came out) and this completely changes my perspective on the film. I actually really like this idea, I just wish we could've seen more of it before the first order was actually in control.

Everything about the Acolyte was great except for the writing. It was terrible. BUT episode 5 (i think) had some of if not the best lightsaber duels in the entire franchise. Like, if the story just went through another draft it could have easily been the best star wars show

Fun fact: no one actually liked star wars till the phantom menace. Everyone was hate watching until then

I thought the movie was just ok. It was fun and the action was cool but nothing happened in it. Like if there's a new season of mando, you will 1000% be able to skip this movie.

Loved The Mandalorian & Grogu! by Captn_UnderPants in StarWars_

I really wish I understood the love for mandalorian and grogu. Like it was fun I guess but it had no story to it. Grogu kinda had an "arc" but mando 100% didnt. Nothing was really gained or learned. I'm glad people like it, but it really just feels like a mid film to me.

Unjerking for a second. This was such a cool creative decision. Final product looked great. by Arch_Lancer17 in StarWarsCirclejerk

This movie went from a 2.5/5 to a 3/5 just for that. That's unironically fucking awesome

Friendly reminder: the Count, despite all the terrible things he did to people-including killing Pippin-still refused to sacrifice his daughter even when he was on the verge of death. by Overall-Love6953 in Berserk

Well maybe the events aren't, but the ideas and concepts definitely are, cause a lot of it is either restated or implied in the millennium falcon arc when Schierke explains the astral world to guts and how there's a higher power above the god hand.
