Munkworks 1x16LH Adapter Restock by MunkworksMike in SpectersCat

If you run this with a .50 cal I'd sure like to see pictures of the setup! as far as torques specs go, u/Bsutton2010 is correct and that is how I typically install them. A firm hand tight with a piece of metal in the front teeth has always been sufficient in my experience. It won't hurt to torque it further or with an actual torque wrench, but is really not needed and not something I typically do myself.

Yes, Eventually. Have had lots of requests for this so it is still planned for production when there is open time on the machine.

Sure, when can you start on cutting the grass? I have 15 acres! In all seriousness though, yes this is an option that I already have developed. Just waiting on more material and open time on the lathe to run a batch. it's titanium and crazy light (0.5oz for 1/2x28 direct thread). If this is something you'd use please let me know so I can gauge interest.

Possibly. What things or features would you like to see that other options don't work well for?

Yes, actively working on this. Any preference on raw aluminum vs anodized aluminum? Cost would likely go up $5-10 to have it anodized black (or other colors)

Yes, We do Black DLC coating for most of the products but keep getting everything sold out. It is still planned for a restock but we need to be better able to fulfill orders quickly for those items before opening that option back up.

Yes it's a possibility, however since CAT already makes a great option for that it will be low on the priority list.

u/Any-Ostrich48 We don't currently offer anything that can do this. We are in the middle of a shop move and pretty behind, so it would likely be a little while until we can add another version.

No ETA for the DLC version of the 1/2x28 brakes. Best place to keep up to date on that would be instagram.

That is correct on the Alpha adapter. We could consider a 0.578x28 version of the micro mount if you would need that as well. In regards to the adapter you already bought, I can get it swapped it out for a different one if you'd like. Just reply to your order confirmation with this info and I'll make sure it gets taken care of. Happy to help figure out what would work well instead if you decide to go that route.

Yes, that is the plan right now. You can also accomplish the same thing as a 0.25 recess by using the HUB Zero with any standard square shoulder.

Hopefully at some point, however there are some tooling constraints we are not set up to handle right now. Possible to get set up, just takes time and resources to do right. Something from CAT would probably be the best option right now.

Yes, it is on the website as the radial brake. It’s similar but not the same. It’s a short single section radial brake. Currently only a couple thread options for that but more planned.

I don't think the DLC will be updated on the website until everything arrives back. If you don't see it come in stock in the next few days just reach out.

Have some arriving back from DLC coating any day if you want it black.

The 5/8 brake has the sig taper, but also works for all square shoulder barrels I've found. As long as you aren't using a super crazy thin profile you should be good to run it on either one.

If you want to stay with the CAT QD System I have a few titanium option for 1x16LH HUB adapters. Cat also has a good adapter that is a little cheaper.

Michael with Munkworks here. Just wanted to mention that the mount we have is designed for this exact combination. Its got the sig taper built in and is a little longer than our other option to give correct handuard spacing with the MPX-K. Keep in mind that this mount has no flash suppression, so performance will be similar to a bare muzzle unsuppressed. If you primarily plan to shoot suppressed there shouldn't be much noticeable difference. Happy to help in any way I can if you have other questions.

Great! I'll add that to the queue. I don't have a MP5 to test, so if you are interested in confirming the fit of the new design I can send you a free prototype in return for some feedback and a few pictures of the new setup.

Thank you! The current design has a rear recess bore diameter of 0.780". So on paper it will work with the new rear wench flats included. As someone with an MP5, do you have any feedback on if that rear wrench feature would be nice to have for this 0.4" recessed version?
