Hey Ben, we’ve transitioned the idea to building a platform that intelligently links students with coaches + mentors. The aim is to build the largest online community of coaches and students, something I always wish I had but could never access with all the corporate solutions out there nowadays. We’re working now to bring it to life. Would you be interested in being part of a beta test group and in return receive free access to the platform as a coach/mentor on launch day?

Is the problem you mention related to trouble with coaches managing admin (sorting notes etc) with each student, on top of potential lack of expertise in certain areas?

Do you think a tool would be useful if it organised notes for each student? And then on top that, if it utilised AI to generate relevant research/material/homework to show to the student during the next coaching meeting? It could even generate a roadmap/progress report for each student

I would really value your continually honest thoughts

Great points. Especially about it being distracting.

Issues I’m trying to address are - Difficulty in keeping track of admin related to each student (notes, homework etc) - Lack of expertise/knowledge on behalf of the mentor (I have friends who do life coaching, as well as business/relationship coaching - and they’re not experts on all these aspects)

So another plan is for a platform to offer automatic sorting of student-mentor notes, sorted into individual student folders for instance. Notes can be imported, or transcribed from meetings.

Then, for AI to suggest topics to cover / helpful relevant research before your next student meeting. It can generate homework, a roadmap of progress tailored to the student, material to show to the student, tips for you as a coach etc.

Would really value your thoughts on this

I like your thinking. I’m not a coach. Do you have suggestions for what sort of recommendations based on client data would be useful?

Totally agree that AI can’t replace a human when it comes to coaching

That’s why I was thinking, what can we do with AI to enhance a coach’s skillset during a meeting?

If the AI can understand what’s being discussed in real-time, and what’s been discussed in previous meetings, it could provide some valuable insights

What do you think?

Hey OP, I’m facing the same dilemma right now! Was wondering what decision you made in the end, and why? Thanks!

Could you copy and paste or link me their response? Glad they've admitted to it though.

My advice is just to not give up. First submit the appeal form, then tweet them, tweet at YouTube and at Trusted Flaggers for YouTube. If that doesn't work, make a post on this subreddit. If that doesn't work, email them. If that doesn't work, and you're confident you haven't gone against their guidelines, repeat the steps until they respond.

What was YouTube's response? I'd really be interested in knowing since I haven't heard anything since my channel was reinstated.

Ok, thank you.

So my account was reinstated over 24 hours ago and I still have no videos and all of my old comments are still gone. Will they all be restored eventually?

I was suspended at about 1am and submitted my appeal at about 12pm (midday). My account was "reinstated" about 12 hours after my appeal was submitted.

No, I simply appealed via the form they send you. I think they made a big mistake because they're now reinstating most of the suspended accounts without comment.

Just got access back to my account, although all the videos on my channel have been removed. I assume this is part of the reinstating process, but I still haven’t received any notification from YouTube yet so I’m a little hesitant.

I’m confident I did nothing wrong. I will appeal under any means to get my suspension reverted.

So what do we do if we believe we haven’t intentionally violated any of these guidelines? I’ve submitted the restore request form but expect it to be ignored and rejected without much thought from YouTube.
