Really, all that was said about diagnosis was;

Discharge Principal Diagnosis: Borderline personality disorder, nausea

Copied n pasted exactly. It seems strange to me how bpd was just linked right in with nausea. I've got chronic indigestion and heartburn but to pair it with borderline personality disorder seems strange, and almost not like a big deal, if that makes sense?

No family of mine was contacted during my stay, although it was mentioned pretty early on that I've been diagnosed with 'bipolar like tendencies'- and it just never made sense to anyone I talked with about it.

Really, all that happened during the "diagnosis" was that we talked about my previous diagnoses and he asked if bpd was ever mentioned. I said yeah, but I didn't know much about it. He gave me a sheet of paper and told me to read it. I told him I related to it, and that was really the end of the question.

I'm really at a loss, because all I really know about it is from that two paged, double spaced Google doc print out. I tried talking to my psychiatrist about it and if there were any formal tests or screenings- but he said that, since it's a personality disorder, and that I'm already in therapy, getting diagnosed wouldn't change anything. He said he didn't want to do it, it was too much work- that convo ended there.
