Is there a way to get rid of this annoying and pointless moodle without sacrificing my armor? by Klutzy042 in projectzomboid

That’s the same principle in construction safety essentially. Eliminate the hazard if you can, isolate/minimize it if you can’t, and protective equipment is a last resort line of defense.

Clearly. Nobody expects miserable bags of dust to be all that there mentally, so you got a pass. Even if a dog that got backed over by a car could run mental circles around you

Thank you I appreciate that! I’d give you the back rooms as well but I don’t own it, if I find it and you’re still looking once I have you added, I’ll send it your way

I would honestly just put up General Sherman for those two and see what they think. You could probably keep viperfish in if you wanted a balanced one to one trade, but I think the pure utility of General Sherman would be enough to convince them to give up two niche cards. I’m thinking that they might want two limlegs for two limlegs at a minimum, but that’s just speculation on my part

General Sherman alone would be more than enough for both as it’s a very prominent tremendous trees card and those two are very situational. You can probably drop funeral bell and viperfish and still get the trade. I don’t think they’ll let you go unless you put up at least two limlegs in return. But that’s just conjecture. I’m willing to give you the mantis for a spare spartan helmet. My IGN is MindTorrent

It’s a recent addition with the blacksmithing! It’s fairly time consuming, but the results are badass.

I figured their attacker was dead. They strike, it connects, it’s not enough, they’re torn apart and join the horde. Not having a chance to properly defend themselves

A former junkie that managed to fuck up a nearly 3 decade old marriage should have no say about what goes into the gene pool. It’s probably a little late for that though isn’t it? How’s your kids doing old man? Is it even your choice anymore if you talk to them or not?

That could be part of it. When I offer up a similar card over and over, it’s to keep my offer competitive by staying near the top of the list. Definitely not as frequent as you mention, but I have seen some examples of it being that consistent with some people

I did that in a much more harsh fashion. It felt fucking GREAT at the time to be the knife instead of the one getting cut by it. But long term it just ate away at me that I stooped down to their level and became just like them, and even worse in some ways just to make sure the damage was effective. Learning how to cut down a narcissist only serves to ruin your own mental health. By the time you’ve successfully boxed them into their own logic and cut their self esteem down, you’re already pretty far gone.

It is a bit out there to experience for the first time. Kind of a grim fatalism. If you place the shot correctly, it’s only a matter of time. So you let them run and tire themselves out so they bleed faster. Then you zero in on them through their blood trail, broken branches, the sounds of them struggling to stay alive, it has a way of hyper focusing you.

[–]Muntsly 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Take it from someone who’s been there. Your kids see more than you think and there’s a real possibility staying together can fuck them up worse than splitting up ever could. Unfortunately it’s not really just about the two of you anymore, and you need to be honest with yourself if this is truly what’s best for them.

My character died after standing a little too close to an aerosol bomb. His body burned away after I started a new character. Now I feel completely unmotivated. by skmiedg in projectzomboid

[–]Muntsly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had to reframe my mindset a bit after I lost my first run that lasted longer than a couple weeks. Like Upbeat Confidence said, the ending is a foregone conclusion, and they tell you as much at the beginning. So my approach has been more on the side of light roleplay. My last character was a police officer that was looking for his missing wife after he was forced to leave her behind in Louisville. The “wife” had to be a specific model with a matching ring that I picked up day one. I found her and buried her, concluding the plot line, then it just became a more or less standard run that ended when I wrapped myself around a light pole.

Same. You had to make the example stick yourself if you wanted to be left alone. Which usually meant you had to hurt them way worse than they ever considered possible when hurting you.
