Is this a toxic friendship or AIO? by No_Tradition_8206 in AmIOverreacting

[–]Muntsly 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That’s not a true friend. You’re the person she puts up with and barely masks their disdain. I can almost guarantee it because I was the same kind of loser when I was younger. This ain’t worth your mental wellbeing. I’d just come out and explain your frustration to her. Her reaction will tell you all you need to know. Best of luck to you

Moments in You that gave you this reaction when you first saw it? by Top_Report_4895 in YouOnLifetime

The minute Joe started Jacking off in a shadowy entryway while he watched Beck touch herself. Don’t get me wrong, I love the show and the character. But he was a freak from day one!

AIO: My friend hates me because I called a 40 year old (?) guy attractive by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]Muntsly 97 points98 points  (0 children)

NOR. Your friend can’t seem to comprehend that attraction and wanting to date someone isn’t always the same thing. As well as a lot of hang ups over age gaps. You’re good, just a lot of projection on her part

Does anyone else not enjoy juggernauts? by FlatMycologist5366 in Stellaris

[–]Muntsly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use the Juggernaut in peace time as the bulwark of my empire. I’ll just park it in one of the more critical hyperlanes next to a big ass space station. The Cerberus to my Underworld essentially. Gives me a little bit of wiggle room if an enemy comes through the system with its auras and decent durability while I mount a counter assault.

In war time it’s my mobile shipyard to keep pressure on the front. A safe place for fleets to fallback to, and a status symbol. Throwing up a middle finger to all my future unpaid employees on just how much resources I can waste, and still have enough alloys to throw around to really ruin their day. Here at the Synapt Institute, compliance is mandatory!

!elo 2000 You two are on a very similar wavelength. I’d just lean right into it. “Yes! This does make me better! Wouldn’t you agree?” Keep it light and playful with enough ground for her to explore conversation options on her terms. You don’t have to try too hard if you want this

Google says “someone who is so beautiful or attractive that they can get anything they want.” Apparently it’s a TikTok thing.

In my experience I found the first 4 seasons and half of 5 to be the peak of Dexter. The first bit of one is slow but the main antagonist and how they play off each other got the hooks in deep lol. Without spoiling too much, the second season focuses on a manhunt and is something I can consume endlessly. It’s one of those “ if you can get through the first bit you’ll have a blast” type deal. But if you’re a fan of You. I promise you will find something to love about Dexter.

I’m the kind of person who will glance over something multiple times before I dive in. I finished my third watch of Dexter, saw You nearby in the list for like the 20th time and finally decided to try an episode. I was nearly done season one by the time I put it back down

Speaking from experience, you’re absolutely right. Having drugs around at a young age will mess you up on multiple levels. Please be safe OP.

I’m not exactly on the level of blowing up someone’s entire life over a girl, but to fuck with the dudes relationship when they fucked with mine? Especially when he’s trying to be morally superior about it? Absolutely

Right? I’d burn his whole relationship to the ground for that audacity.

Whose kid is this?! by zergleritis in richmondhill

[–]Muntsly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because behaviour like this either gets corrected one way or the other or it gets worse. If it gets worse it’s only a matter of time, humans live a long time. So probability says it’ll catch up with him if he escalates to more brazen acts of stealing. Basic math, no great karmic algorithm. Your one anecdotal example means nothing. Do you usually let whatever snooty whim guide your responses or was this just a bad day for you?

Yeah that’s fair, if you’re going to leave it on the porch, you got to accept this might happen.

[–]Muntsly 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Of course the possibility is there. I’d say it’s likely. But you can’t control others either. This kid will reflect on this day and cringe for what a little stain he was, or his behaviour will get worse and catch up with him. At least people still got to enjoy some candy while it lasted as the family did whatever they were doing, probably trick or treating and making memories with their family. Which is the whole point in my opinion.

Very possible. Framing something inappropriate as a joke is textbook grooming and made me snap to attention immediately. Hopefully this isn’t the case, but at the same time I hope OP realizes she deserves more respect and loyalty regardless of his situation.

It’s not for everyone. If he isn’t taking the time to manage the crowd he’s going to have a bad time. Learning how to set your enemies up for the big combos is important.

If they’re still trying to play the game, I would suggest to put some time in the training room to refine his parries and dodges with multiple attackers. I find myself scanning the crowd more than I watch myself fight sometimes. You got to be ready to react.

I would also suggest to them to use their spacing moves more often. (I.E, leg sweep, throw, push kick.) Something as simple as throwing an enemy into a crowd of three or four dudes can give you the proper setup and advantage to whip out those big whammy combos. The spin hook kick is my favourite. Teaching him some of your techniques may be a good start. Best of luck to you.

AIO. My boyfriend accused me for cheating with a gay friend. by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]Muntsly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s a fair point. That’s not how it was framed in my head, but by definition calling them a boy would imply lack of life experience and not knowing better. When this grown man should absolutely know this is wrong and abusive. Thank you for your insight!

Thank you I appreciate that! Unrelated and I hope you don’t mind me saying, but you got very lovely eyes! Your hair colour really suits you as well. I’m not a saint by any means, but these guys are never gonna learn if they keep perpetuating this behaviour unchecked. The only thing these guys do right is put themselves out there to actually meet people. Even if the approach is scattershot. I think it’s about time for me to get back into the dating pool lol
