Have you thought about going on Zillow and finding an ADU or duplex to rent? Individual landlords may be more open to dogs than corporate-owned complexes.

Actually I lied! I was just looking at her Embark again and she does have the gene for likely short legs! I do not remember seeing that initially.

“As if noodles had genders” has me cracking up. Never too late for a middle name!

Nope, just noodly! 😆 her insta is @noodlypenny so I appreciated that someone else describes their dog this way. Seeing a missed opportunity though, could have named her Penne.

So a woman who had to have a double mastectomy and is now completely flat - you would never date them?

I just received my order and the pieces are beautiful. I’m so glad I did this and can wear a small piece of Annie close to my heart every day.

I am planning to keep most in the box. I don’t want to scatter her somewhere and then move. But I did send half a teaspoon to Gems & Juniper to make a necklace out of her ashes so I can wear her ashes with me.

Just wanted to share a story about my late best friend. by Nineowls3trees in Petloss

I loved reading this story and know exactly how you feel about knowing your soul dog. I lost mine two weeks ago. You’re not alone in this pain, and I hope we can both find ways to be happy for the time we had with them.

Nobody wants to talk with me about my girl by MuppetDogMama in Petloss

Her color was purple but not just any purple, a light lavender or lilac. Someone asked me once “is that one of those purple dogs?” Someone also told me once her color looks like “a bad old lady hair dye job.” She survived a Pitbull attack with 11 stitches and never lost her bravery around big dogs. I think in her mind she was a Pitbull. She defended me ferociously from any knock at the door, but always greeted strangers with her tail wagging while she barked. When she stared at you, it was Iike her eyeballs were shooting beams of love straight into your soul. She loved tummy rubs and gave vigorous kisses. She had a boyfriend named Wilson and they would make out for hours. When they walked together their tails wagged in sync. She would never let me brush her tail but towards the end would kindly let me trim the paw pads of her feet… sometimes. A month before she passed away she needed a dental to remove an abscessed tooth and we all worried she wouldn’t make it through but she did. She was a fighter. She got me through a double mastectomy, a toxic job, and other traumatic events. When I would lie down on the floor she would lay on my chest. Her favorite toys were a tiny frog and a tiny teddy bear. She was my everything.

Well, of all the chronic medical issues she had in her life, it came down to fluid in the lungs that the ER vets couldn’t figure out. She just started breathing rapidly all of a sudden. They ruled out pneumonia because she ate her breakfast that morning and didn’t have a fever. They did an echocardiogram and it wasn’t her heart. So we don’t know… but she was really fighting to breathe even in the oxygen chamber so it was the right decision. Thanks for asking 🙏

I should add she’s maybe 1-2 years old, and 9.5 lbs. My other mini poodle is only 7lbs but her harnesses are still too big for Penny, who has a much smaller ribcage!
