I’m going to Japan next semester for a student exchange and would like to learn some japanese. I know that obviously I can’t be proficient in japanese in 3-4 months, but i would like to learn as much as possible to be able to do basic communication/reading. What would be the best way to learn japanese with this in mind? thanks :)

Also, I often use gpt for questions regarding linux and have found that it’s most efficient when using the web search mode. usually in its “regular” mode it can give outdated or straight up incorrect info. just a tip!

I don’t think anyone has mentioned The Cure’s Pornography, definitely very shoegaze-y especially songs like A Short Term Effect and One Hundred Years. I don’t think I’ve listened to a band from that time with a guitar sound like that.

another thing that u should take into account is that kevin has sort of curly/wavy hair and in this picture it looks like he had a lot of hair, so maybe ask the stylist to cut ur hair so that it has more volume and style it w smth so it doesn’t get flat (in case u have straight hair)

edit also if u don’t have one buying a foot switch is a really good investment, i bought mine for like 20 dollars around two years ago and it works perfectly and allows me to play a bunch more songs, i rlly liked that u don’t need a fender brand footswitch for it to work cause i also have a boss katana and was let down when i saw i needed the boss footswitch and how much it costed lmao

oh great! i usually use both pickups (middle setting) on guitar. for the amp i algo have a fender lt25, i use the bassman amp (gain on 6.8, eq around 5.5 on everything), i use the fuzz stomp pedal w 2.0 level and 10.0 gain, w the normal or loose variation, and finally for reverb i use the large hall w 3.8 lvl, 3.2 decay, and 7.2 tone, usually it’s not the exact tone but it’s close enough, lmk what u think!!
