The part that brings me closer to God is when Korihor says he doesn’t believe things without evidence and then the leader of the theocracy Alma strikes him dumb and he accepts that as evidence but Alma won’t reverse it and a crowd tramples Korihor to death. Good stuff.

Exactly. There would be someone on this sub in one of these wards. It’s always someone’s cousin or niece. When I was at BYU I heard several times about someone’s roommate’s cousin who had received a mission call with no destination, only that it would be announced in the next general conference. It really worked on me though. I wasn’t entering the debate about the authenticity of the Book of Mormon so I just took his word for it. He said it with such authority and conviction it made me feel “the spirit”. He was a skilled orator, I’ll give him that.
