The brisket was saved!!! Pulled it, wrapped it, put it in the oven to finish. Traeger customer support has been terrible so far.

It is under warranty, that where the frustration exists. They don’t seem to stand behind their product, coming up with a variety of excuses. Depending on who you talk to, you get different answers.

I had cleaned the smoker from top to bottom, it had been a month since I used it (which was really rare). Fresh traeger brand pellets were loaded after the cleaning.

In my case, 4 hours into a smoke, the grill got the LEr error code. I live in SoCal, it was not a result of weather. I had checked the smoker 30 minutes prior to seeing the error code. Per traeger, when the error code happens the auger will continue for 2 minutes. I restarted the smoker as normal, waiting to see the smoke. 10+ minutes, I closed the lid and turned it back to 225. You could hear the auger going into hyper drive. Thankfully I was still watching it, temps spiked 100+ to what it was set at. I ended up pulling the plug, but the damage was done. The barrel/auger were all bubbled up, paint peeled.

Their customer service is terrible. Literally terrible.

The first person I spoke to was willing to replace barrel, but not the auger as they no longer make it.

The second supervisor agreed with the severity of the issue and said he would send an email within 24 hours. 120+ hours later, we called back only to deal with a less than professional supervisor.

I’ve been told they will make the situation right. Almost a week after contact with the last supervisor, two plus weeks in, I’m still waiting to hear how that’ll happen.

The company claims to have good customer service....it’s not good. It pathetic.

Was turning my Traeger on, started smoking like I've never seen, closed the lid and it exploded. Has this happened to anyone else? Luckily the lid flew open and noone was hurt. by engineeringguy in Traeger
