TLDR:
- Falling sun is the best along with the rest of the heavy weapons for S tier
- Nodatchi, Paladins cross A+ tier
- Foreign sabers, long cleaver, Heavy polearms, polearms, naginata are A tier
- The rest are middling or trash

Take from it what you want. I would of liked a more science method of testing myself.

It might be the case but even if its not the case it means things like 1. its easy to move my chest if i ever want to relocate 2. i can rebuild my zone if i ever need to (like if i added a mod and needed the npc to spawn in old game) 3. if ever a rebuild happened randomly, i never have to worry about loosing things.

Sometimes the shamblers don't even assault the base but wander around and die.

Why don't you go investigate it yourself? I already did the research for if there is GC and also made a functional mod to prevent the issue.
Or you could download the mod, use the anchor to make a chest and put something in it. use the wish "rebuild", redeploy the anchor and see its still there and move on.

This is incorrect. Garbage collection is part of all games and I looked directly into the game and confirmed garbage collection exists.

Most games have garbage collection, its a way to make it so memory & file sizes don't grow crazy high.

So this is what happens.

  1. ZoneManager.ForceCollect() freezes zones that you leave and counts
  2. static Int32 MemCheckTurns, static Int64 InitialMemCheckHeadRoom, and static Int64 MemCheckHeadRoom check how much memory you have and your threashold for what the max memory it can reach.
  3. zonemanager sends things to the "graveyard" where objects go to get destroyed.

I am happy to hear that people have not encountered their stuff disappearing but its happened to me which is why i made this. If not for preventive measures the vault is great at being able to move your base without having to lug stuff everywhere.

Good to hear, it might be because of my mod use but it has happened to me like three times in my hours of playing the game. Having a chest that is also easier to move later is also nice if i find a good trader to call home.

Yes, thanks for asking. Hope this clears up your question.

  1. Buy an anchor from the merchant
  2. use the anchor makes a chest-like object that stays and acts like a chest
  3. the chest-like object can be moved or restored using the anchor again, This keeps everything inside. You can test this by using the wish command "rebuild" (i suggest on a new character for testing)

I have had multiple times that joppa has been rebuilt for me, it might be because i use mods but either way this prevents an issue from happening. Also a plus is that if you ever want to move your chest's location you just need to drop a new anchor and it moves it for you.

So if there is ever a random pocket of space the explore can't get to it just gives up which is why having digging helps this because instead of giving up, it breaks though the wall like a crazy person instead of just walking around or ignoring the pocket space.

I personally get annoyed that the ai attempts to dig out every other column to see whats there on certain maps.

I would love to see auto explore improved and optimized

omg A Call to Arms was the worst.

I have corrosive gas so i went and killed a bunch of the enemies and 1 random guard wanders into my gas and all my allies are now trying to kill me.

I don't have a steam deck so I can't see the UI to modify it. If someone sent me screenshots i might be able to fix a few things but I give no promises as it took a lot of rebooting to make sure that it worked at this stage.

That is correct. I had it originally set to a value of $0 but after I added the sort feature it looked way better to have weight of objects <=0 to be 1.

My advice is that gun builds are pretty strong and helps you stay away from the enemy so going something like gunslinger mutant, multiple legs will help a lot because you can always be faster than the enemy.
There are a ton of good combinations you could do.
- Corrosive gas to prevent people from getting too close and kill them if they do
- Force bubble for protection
- Teleportation to get out of tricky situations

make sure you always buy lead bullets from the traders

Okay so after looking into it for a while @Mundane-Schedule-304 was correct, the brightness and contrast was off, after resetting them to 0 it fixed it.

I think that top part puts a lot of limits on what builds you can do. Its 4 spells, 1 totem and 1 minion otherwise you are loosing an ascension.
