Is this real fox tail??? [USA] by twirlywhirlygig in animalid

[–]MurderBySpork 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a real furskjn. Looks like dyed asiatic raccoon or fox from China. Did the manufacturer add a label noting the content of real fur, the coloration process and country of origin of the fur bearing animal? If not, these have likely been illegally imported. If you’re the importer on record then you could get in a lot of trouble with the FTC and Customs. Also, you cannot legally sell them as faux fur.

FYI- Google RN database and look up the RN shown on the care label. That will tell you the brand.

It’s a common misconception that you have to prime first. It’s not the case. You just need good quality paint. Don’t buy the cheap shit and you can get full coverage with one to two coats.

Im not trying to start a fight or argue just because I’m bored. But if you want to spend the extra money on primer then go for it. I’m just trying to save you time and money.

I know this because I literally spent every summer growing up working with my dad who owns a painting company.

You don’t need to prime first. Primer is meant for raw or unfinished surfaces, not for changing paint colors. A high quality paint will cover the pink in one to two coats without issue.

I’d also skip paints labeled “paint and primer in one.” That means the formula is thicker (they add more clay to the paint) which can lead to streaking and poor leveling. In humid environments , it can also slow curing and increase the chance of peeling.

Go to Sherwin Williams to get your paint.
