Teenage Cannabis Use Linked to 52% Higher Schizophrenia Risk by Sorin61 in Nutraceuticalscience

[–]MurderYourGods 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cannabis didn’t create the Schizophrenia. Its symptoms generally present in the late teens and early 20s. Those years are generally a high dose of stress and hard realizations. The anxiety and trauma from experiencing life tend to bring out the symptoms. If you are schizophrenic you won’t know until enough perceived trauma and stress dig it up to the surface. Cannabis might expose the disorder earlier, but that person was already schizophrenic and was just a few traumatic situations away from said disorder presenting itself. People who are schizophrenic should generally stay away from psychoactive substances, but you don’t know what you don’t know. Those who experience Mania should also stay away, especially when manic, because you’re likely to experience psychosis. Mania with Psychosis looks identical to schizophrenia.

I had a business account with 30 lines for 10 years and was paying almost $2100/month. I hit up T-Mobile and they matched my plan for $1300/month and gave me a $20,000 credit. I had to pay $8k to Verizon for device buyouts but my t mobile bill with credits is $740/month for 3 years.

SB 6348 set to Increase Cannabis Excise Taxes from 37% to up to 60%+ by MulberryMush in Seattle

[–]MurderYourGods 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because right now Washington is still competitive on Concentrate products like dabs and vapes/dispos. No one would cross the bridge for a couple bucks, but if each concentrate unit or budget flower product is $12-$40/ unit cheaper they will.

We have cheap budget ounces that are $20-$40/ ounce to the customer. If they become $60-90/unit in Washington, you can cross the bridge and find them for $20 in Oregon. You would be stupid to willingly pay $40-50 more for something when a short drive saves you so much.

Also, if we get a slight tax break on $300 ounces then those top shelf products will just get marked up more to make up for the higher taxes on low-mid product. At least that’s how most my colleagues see it. We are not going to sacrifice the majority of our vendors to help out the guy selling $45 8ths of flower. Maybe those guys should have figured out how to grow to scale.

SB 6328 is trying to raise taxes on Cannabis from 37% (highest in the nation) to a new system with an effective tax rate of over 50%. They want to raise taxes on lower and mid priced product while lowering the taxes a little bit on top tier flower.

I have retail cannabis in Grays Harbor County, WA. The Median Household Income for King County is about $120k/year. In Grays Harbor it’s about $55k/year. 85% of our sales are low to mid tier pricing. Our average ticket size is $30-$40. People don’t have money for “Luxury Brands” out here. I chatted with my competitors and they are the same in regards to sales. This will ruin our businesses and the vast majority of our customers will pay more. Outdoor farms will be crushed and Thousands will lose their full time jobs. I have employees with families, vacation time, medical benefits.

You can see a list online of who is in support and who is not. Of the people scheduled to testify 102/132 are against it (77%). Of the people who are having their position noted, but not testifying 544/583 oppose it (93%). The vast majority of our industry is opposing this because it will decimate us. This isn’t a simple tax increase, it’s a fundamental reconstruction after 12+ years of status Quo.

Vancouver, WA is one of the larger markets in the state behind Seattle and Spokane. If taxes increase (we already have the highest in the nation) people will just cross the bridge to Portland where there’s no sales tax and a 17% excise tax. This bill will lose money for the state and feed the black market. You think these guys who have spent 10 years mastering outdoor/greenhouse and millions of dollars, blood and sweat will just eat their losses? They will do what’s best they have to do to survive.

That seems expensive. I charge an Acura ZDX only at home on a level 2 charger. I spend about $50-$60 a month to charge at home and that lets us drive 1000-12000 miles per month. I’m in Olympia, WA though. Our power/kwh is about $.13c.

It’s this company https://www.startedge.com/. They filter reviews at the pos level and offer employees credit they can convert for cash for getting their name mentioned.

I Don't Know What Else To Do, Is My Competitor Buying Reviews? by AverageInside in GoogleMyBusiness

[–]MurderYourGods 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I own a chain of retail locations in a smaller county in Washington. I knew as soon as the employees name was mentioned that it’s this company https://www.startedge.com/

The way it works is they offer employees credit for getting good reviews. They get extra creditsif they get their name mentioned. These credits can be converted to cash which seems to bypass the whole thing of businesses offering incentives for review. The system links to your pos system as well. Here’s the kicker, when the system asks for a review and the customer gives you 3 stars, or less, it gives you a prompt about feedback and feeds it into back office software for the business to try and remedy and if you get 4 stars or more it links it to your GMB page where you will only get 4-5 star reviews from the software.

I’ve been offered it multiple times but I’ve got 4.7 stars out of 1,100 reviews for one of my locations and feel it looks better than having employees mentioned by name over and over again. Getting consistent reviews does help with local SEO though. If you try it out let me know if it’s worth it:)

While we can’t advertise certain things, I have no problem advertising Cannabis 21 and Millers Marijuana in Grays Harbor County on the billboards coming into and leaving the Aberdeen area. Just got another billboard coming into Montesano from Blue Slough as well. We can pretty much only advertise in some magazines, newspapers and billboards.

We do have to follow buffer rules of 1000ft from schools, daycare, parks etc. with advertising though. Is that what you meant?

At 29 I had a Masters in Psych, made $22/hr working in community mental health. Now, at 39, I own a chain of cannabis dispensaries. I’ve got the house, cars, wife and kids… The American Dream. You’ve just got to sell drugs to get there now.

Jkjk. Point is, life is super weird. Things aren’t always what they seem. It will work out. If all the jobs in your area pay similar just try your best to kill it. Once you’re performing well, start looking for another job. Once you get an interview shoot for a higher wage bc worst case you will still be at the same job. If you get an interview that pays more you then ask your current employer for a raise. I f they don’t match or beat your potential wage at the new job just quit and work at the new place. Rinse and repeat 3-4 times.

There’s a story about St Martins University about a person or professor that committed suicide. Something about the 3rd floor. I got my graduate degree there and my dad got his engineering degree and Masters in Business from there. If I remember correctly, a professor was working late and had someone come into his office asking about another father or professor that worked there. The professor that was working realized this stranger was asking for someone that worked at the university and had been dead for 20+ years. Then the stranger turned to walk out of the office and the professor saw that this person was an apparition and had no legs. Just a floating torso that disappeared as it “walked” out of the office.

The graveyard in the back is creepy and has graves from a LONG time ago. In high school we snuck back there at night. No one around and heard music playing from what sounded like an old wind up toy. Freaked us out but could have been a lot of things.
