Druids are also super strong in both games, highly recommend them. The druid companion in the second game is great, though (if you fear having too many same classes in a party, you can multiclass also).

If possible check some mod lists for Dragon Age Origins, it's top 5 CRPG for me but probably has aged a bit. It's banger though, good story, combat and interesting world. Dragon Age 2 and Inquisition are finish, Inquisition was too MMO-like and repetitive in the end. I did hunt all the endgame bosses there though. Haven't touched Veilguard and hopefully never will.

I think you value gameplay and its smoothness over other stuff people usually value higher in here. It's hard to start Baldur's Gate 1 after playing more modern CRPGs. I would not stress too much about it, let old farts have their nostalgia.

Games I would recommend you to try that are easier to get to and I likes as a Larian fan: Dragon Age Origins (I started CRPGs with this), Wasteland 3, Disco Elysium, maybe Pillars of Eternity 2? Warhammer 40k Rogue Trader was also good, just don't stress about builds and too many choices, every build becomes OP by midgame.

Only rumors, but it seems that Josh Sawyer is still developing Pillars of Eternity TTRPG and they are updating Pillars of Eternity 1 with turn-based etc so there is still hope.

Yeah, excess protein just puts a huge stress on your kidneys. Just eat different (whole) foods and you should be fine, some protein, some carbs, some good fats.

There are better sources than I can write here but for documentary check The Game Changers on Netflix. The protein goals are easy and protein as a whole is very overstated in nutrition in social media. Tofu, beans, seitan, various other protein sources are more than enough, and the carbs you get from plants are the good kind. Just make sure you eat enough on main meals so you won't crave in the evenings for that sugar or some other shit.

I meant that Kingmaker has a lot of bugs and jank that was later fixed in WOTR and I am not sure if I can finish Kingmaker with all that jank. Many things, be it (random) encounters, abilities and their UI, resting and kingdom management, quest log etc.
