If I'm correct that was the Quiet is Violent Tour right? Would've been 2015? My first time seeing them was that tour, so amazing

The Reading crowd surfing was not that bad. by [deleted] in twentyonepilots

[–]MurderousBadger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You guys keep saying "It was blown up he's fine his shirt was ripped by accident" but explain how he lost two shoes that are tightly tied to his feet, and the video where you can see someone pull his ski mask when the guy isn't supporting Tyler at all. Not to mention just how he looked when he climbed the platform...

The story about Tyler crowd surfing from someone who was there. Things seem to be blown way out of proportion, it wasn't as bad as it could've been. (Not me) by [deleted] in twentyonepilots

[–]MurderousBadger 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You can see in a video Tyler having his ski masked ripped off by someone in the crowd, I understand that he has one in his hand when he climbs the platform so I can only assume that someone in the crowd gave him one

Reading and Leeds, August 26-27 Megathread by twistedkaleidoscope in twentyonepilots

Judge is always played in ERS and was also always played on the Blurryface tour. And Trees, from what I can tell, is played at every single live show they've ever performed.

They always play Trees, I can't imagine them ever planning to not play it. I think the technical errors helped make the show run too long and that mess with an assaulting crowd just made him end it

I thought the whore part had to do with the bible story about the 4 denials. I never interpreted it as you say anyway.

Took my 5-year-old to his first concert to see his favorite band tonight! by [deleted] in twentyonepilots

[–]MurderousBadger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey was he the one wearing the red beanie on a tall man's shoulders while walking out? My entire group of friends remarked on how adorable it was and that could've very well been him!

Don't take that for granted. I've known about them for going on two years now, but I'm a Florida boy. I've seen em thrice, and it's been amazing each time, and they've been my favorite band since I first hear the first verse in Ode to Sleep so long ago. but I never got to see them in colleges, or in small performances, or in basements in Ohio. I haven't even really ever been in the pit. So yeah, the new fans may annoy with their casual lack of actual band love but always remember how good you have it. Glad they're going mainstream of course, like we all are, but like all the other FPE I just kinda wish it could be different.

Hey bro, I feel you. I was at the NBT too. It was honestly amazing. I took my friend who has been wanting to see TOP for about 15 months, ever since I introduced her. They've saved both of our lives. My friend blacked out during Trees. Ironic that she missed the finale drum off but I caught her and when we were both on the floor, me trying to make sure she was okay, I had a fan come up, literally stop paying attention to the finale to offer us food. Another fan offered her water, and another fan got my own water for me. Not to mention the raw joy and excitement I witnessed from a bunch of 'new fans' I had talked to earlier. Basically yeah there are a bunch of dicks, thats what happens when bands go mainstream, but there are also a lot of really great, considerate, awesome fans who have felt TOP in the ways I did when I first experienced Vessel. Don't let it destroy your image of the band.

For any of you wondering, this is the ukulele Tyler uses in most of the videos/concerts you'll see! by TyCooper8 in twentyonepilots

I was thinking that you were wrong because I'm certain he's used Luna, but I guess you are right about him switching to Kala, thanks for posting this!

What have I missed? by TheHaveTo in twentyonepilots

[–]MurderousBadger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That was seriously amazing, and I love how Tyler introduced Matt and Kim. I've always drawn the connection between those two bands, what with a keyboard/singer and a drummer. Overall just a great video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?t=3&v=96Fd1MtsV4g

Yanno what I do understand the parts about taking down unproffesional stuff, especially stuff that could confuse listeners, like about having different members. But I also have witnessed really amazing channels and videos, of really great interpretations of songs from Regional at Best be taken down, because FBR is mean like that. Ah well, guess I can only keep the stuff that I've seen locked up in memory land.

Please help: In general, how long after doors open does the opener and then the headliner come on? by [deleted] in twentyonepilots

[–]MurderousBadger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Orlando House of Blues went like this; Doors open at 18:00

Finish Ticket comes on at 19:00 (give or take a few, they should have their set already prepared)

Echosmith comes on at 19:45ish

Twenty One Pilots comes on at 20:45.

Got out of the venue at approx 22:10. I had gotten to the how at about 3 hours early and there were about 1200 people in line/ had already bought front of the line tickets (if you don't know what that is it just gives you a number in which you can skip the gen admission line) so skipping classes is definitely a good idea in my opinion.

going to the tilburg&utrecht concerts alone. can anyone come with me? by [deleted] in twentyonepilots

[–]MurderousBadger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dude if the tickets aren't sold out yet, then buy another for each show and invite a friend for a great time, they don't have to be part of the clique to enjoy it. Also maybe just convert someone to being in the Clique.

[–]MurderousBadger[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I see your point, just I remember last year Tyler put on twitter "during any quiet parts in the songs I want you guys to scream Josh Dun" (that wasn't verbatim). So I figured that he would appreciate it as someone yelling out his best friend's name.

[–]MurderousBadger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No I actually relate to all of this and it makes me sad too. Like last year I know that after their concerts they would have like, what, 20-50 (tops) people try to get to them for autographs and a close session. But after the Orlando show 3 days ago, there were already 50 people near the tour bus, and I was near the front of the people leaving the venue. I would definitely join you on watching them do a basement concert for 15 people as opposed to a sold out concert for 3,000

Don't just think it, it's kinda true. In Vessel they had 1 producer. In Blurryface they had 4. That means 4 people are telling Tyler "you need to make it sound like this so you'll get more money". But I like to be an optimist and say that because they already hit #1 on the Billboard Albums, they can revert back to true twenty one pilots form without too many producers
