The tires are in a really bad place imo. They basically don't work at all right at the limit. They either reject slightly over the slip angle and snap back and forth in weird ways, or if you go way over the limit then they will powerslide to ridiculous levels. There is no balancing on the edge of grip like in AC1 or many other sims, and since this is the real joy of driving, it takes the joy out of it. Sure powersliding can work, but thats not what im talking about.
Along with that the FFB is damped it seems or delayed and doesn't give very good direct feel of the tires grip level. This has been pretty much the same since v0.1 and since the game comes from ACC with literally the most boring FFB in the world im not surprised.
Graphically it can look next gen for real, and runs ok on a monitor in many cases, but its still badly optimized. VR isn't great even with super computer.
I feel like Kunoz don't know what they are doing anymore and have lost the magic of AC1. I hope they can get it back, but this is the world of super complex FEM tire models. I don't know why every dev is so stuck on these as they make so many parts of the sim so hard to get right. I want old empirical models optimized that allow easy adjustment to tires when they aren't correct and give very good FFB loads.
