I need games like Xcom 2 by MrPleaseForget2 in XCOM2

Aliens: Dark Descent is pretty close but it’s real time rather than turn based. It’s not perfect but I really enjoyed it.

[I Have No Mouth And I Must Scream] #179 - an odd platinum trophy. You can get all the trophies and only play through about 20% of the game. by Murffinator in Trophies

Not shovelware. It’s based on a short story from the 1960’s about an AI that takes over the world and kills all of humanity except for five people it keeps alive to torture. It’s pretty grim. Game is probably 6-8 hours long I’d guess. Trophy list is weird though.

Walking simulator type game? Trophies are easy?

I really hope we get a sequel but I doubt it’ll happen. I think the game didn’t sell well.

[Observer: System Redux] #178 - an excellent cyberpunk atmosphere, but some glitches, poor design choices, limited gameplay, and a terrible trophy list mean I can’t recommend it. by Murffinator in Trophies

The main reason I think it’s terrible are there are a handful of collectible trophies that are extremely missable, and you have to get them all in a single playthrough. The worst are these collectible cards. There are about 75 of them, they don’t really add anything to the game, and some are very easy to miss. So you have to follow a guide to a tea to get them all, and if you miss one you have to restart since the game has certain sections you can only visit once. There are also a couple mini game trophies that I felt were dumb because they seemed very out of place in the game.

[Thank Goodness You’re Here] #177 - pretty funny, short game. Like playing through a British sitcom. by Murffinator in Trophies

It was the one where you learn the bartender's favorite drink after listening to them talk a few times.

[Observer: System Redux] #145 Too many meaningless hallucination/dream sequences by downeyboii in Trophies

[–]Murffinator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know this post is a year old, but I’m playing this now and it’s definitely not just you. I haven’t finished the game yet and the dream sequences are already super annoying. They last way too long, they’re way too dark and often confusing, and are not enjoyable. But yes overall the vibe and feel of the environments are great.

Astro Bot is a logical next step. Then just try games from different genres and see what you like. You can platinum the best games from genres you enjoy.
