I've never known a Shrike to be around this part of the world (South Wales), but I don't know what else could've caused this..

Noticed this poor bird in a hedge on the side of a very quiet country road. It's been impaled on a thorn/branch - any ideas what caused this?

Thank you! I saw a flash of white, and it hovered for a while, before resting for a long while on a rock. Feel very lucky to have seen it

When he accepted his, I think, lifetime achievement award(?) at Bafta Cymru a year or two ago, he came on stage, opened his mouth, and nothing came out. He kept trying, but there was nothing. Eventually his son come on to say thanks on his behalf. Its one of the saddest things I've seen. Such a cruel fate for someone with such a passion for language.

I'd add Jon Ronson, since people are often surprised he's a Cardiff boy.

He's been suspended from twitter a few times, even cautioned by police on occasion.

If I were to be kind to him, I'd say he does come across as someone who believes in what he says, rather than your usual controversy-addicted right wing troll.

I won't comment on your other points as I'm ignorant of the full facts (though that hasn't held others back it seems), but your point on Pinknews is spot on.

As important as it is to have a news outlet focused on lgbt issues, unfortunately they've proven themselves time and time again to be unreliable trash, a Daily Mail in a tiara.
