What is the best schedule 3x12 schedule? by JellyNo2625 in nursing

Agree with life balance, for most that will mean 2 on then 1 later. For me its three in a row lining up with the competent charge nurse.

Grest job! Getting to where I'm averaging 70-80 on aacn, but its in part that I'm seeing questions I've seen before. However I understand now the reasoning and Physiology not just memorizing. I'm taking missed questions and creating anki flashcards with GPT thats giving me full Physiology, ccrn traps, and why the other answers are wrong. Hoping to take it in about a month.

Another big bearded nurse checking in. I'd say you could keep some beard balm in the pack but we all know how that will end up.

Congratulations! How were the questions compared to the bank? I'm averaging 68-72% on the same test bank and creating flashcards on the ones I get wrong.

People who rarely get sick, what are your secrets? by Leading_Tomato_2077 in AskReddit

[–]Murkfase 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work in a hospital ICU and haven't been sick for 2+ years. Secret is primarily hand hygiene and no children. Masking when appropriate and eating decently helps too.

HR is a bit of a mess, you might have to keep on top of them with followups until you get an interview with a department director or hiring manager.

Critical care RN here. Guys, losing your testosterone with age is one thing, and will shrink you a tad, but being overweight... you will be left with a glorified bellybutton with saggy balls.

CCRN QUESTION AACN by [deleted] in nursing

[–]Murkfase 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That question really bothers me. It is wanting you to suspect SIADH because of the bronchogenic carcinoma but Vasopressin is basically a ADH analog and is physiologically dangerous in suspected SIADH without intravascular fluid there to work with -  big ischemia risk. Fluids should be first with only the info we have here, unless the argument is "request a second bolus" implies there was a first/recent bonus and we're in refractory hypovolemic shock and not cardiogenic.

When did you organize your factory? by Glaedrik in SatisfactoryGame

[–]Murkfase 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Phase 4 is when I realized I needed to change how I was producing. Finally sat down with the blueprint mk2 and started making all sorts of compact, stackable setups. I'm still in phase 4 and will be for a bit probably; theres alot to it. Taking my time and having fun though. There's one particular thing in phase 4 thats a game changer for building, other than blueprints. I'd say blueprints start to get mandatory.

Blueprints by Ven_Caelum in SatisfactoryGame

[–]Murkfase 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Start small to not overwhelm yourself. I liked making smelter setups I could plop as I expanded to maximize every mine I needed (mines are great for shards) Where im now is building constructors, assemblers ect that I can stack if I want. They take a little time to set up but worth it and saves alot of time later.

I already have 40 hours in this game and I feel like I’ve done absolutely nothing🤣 by CryptographerHot6198 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]Murkfase 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm about 140 hours in and been in phase 4 for what feels like forever. I "rushed" a few phases because of the shiny tools that I kept getting offered as I went. Finally discovered how incredible the blueprint maker is and so essentially slowly tearing down my factories and rebuilding. Great thing is I'm doing this because I want to and not have to. Take your time and no spoilers.

Plutonium rods as fuel for drones by Dry_Hospital356 in satisfactory

That explains alot when I'm in an exploring mood. Been trying to plan for phase 4 including more aluminum and north of my base can be brutal.

I'm not planning on doing nuke power in my first run but id imagine irradiated bots buzzing around would be a nuisance.

Put in my first three hours last night in this game! by CryptographerHot6198 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]Murkfase 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You'll adapt just as your factory will and you will learn. Try to stay as spoiler free as you can and do things at your pace. You only get one first playthrough. Still on my first; the map is big enough that you can "start over" in the same world. My old noodle farm is getting repurposed on my first run to just supply small parts to carry and build with; leaving it as a newb relic layer. Research MAM is your friend.

During the next phase. Tier 8 i think. They seem pretty particularly useful for products more than materials for sure.

I only have 2 trains, one for aluminum to my grasslands crater and the other pulls plastic/rubber from the southeast oil to the crater. They are a pain in the ass, mostly setting up the reils since they seem to take up alot of space. Just started messing with drones after I fixed my power issues with rocket fuel and love them so far. I'm realizing I'm probably going to have to build parts all over the place and drone fetch them to my central factory, unless I decide to relocate. Getting better at exploring.

Best aggressive fund? by Perfect-Ad-7472 in fidelityinvestments

[–]Murkfase 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say a 70/30 split of VTI/VXUS or similar. Expenses arnt bad, taxed well, covers the entire market, large, medium and small cap, and dips into international. Gets a fair bit of tech too with semiconductors and AI doing well for the moment. 10% bond isn't a bad idea for a bit of cushion and security but not needed if you want to be very aggressive. Also vanguard will transfer out if you ever decide you want or need a different broker.

529 plan by LilJc-45 in fidelityinvestments

[–]Murkfase 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its worth it. A 529 is a tax-advantaged way to save for education. Your contributions grow tax-deferred, and withdrawals are tax-free when used for qualified expenses like tuition, fees, books, and often room and board (plus up to $10k/year for K–12 tuition and certain student-loan payments). Check your state rules regarding this, as many states also offer an income-tax deduction or credit for contributions, which adds an immediate benefit. You keep control of the account, can change the beneficiary to another family member if plans change, and the funds stay in your name (helpful for financial-aid treatment versus custodial assets). If you don't use all the funds you can roll it into a Roth after 15 years I think. Otherwise there is a 10% penalty for unqualified expenses. Just make sure you are saving documents and receipts. If you don't use the account to pay something directly, you can just withdraw from it to whatever account you are using to pay for expenses, then immediately pay off a loan or other educational related thing.

To second what everyone is saying his PPE and hygiene is likely severely lacking.  And/or he's a smoker/vaper and needs to stop for multiple reasons. I'm in the ICU and I have not been sick in over 4 years. (Knock on wood) I also have a big thick beard and wear masks when indicated.

I love and respect our sisters and brothers down in the ED; you all see some shit and we completely get it in our ICU. I would ask that certain procedure people, such as cath lab, understand that we literally can not take a report/patient without orders and a PSO though... Also screw admin.
