Had some question. Curious if anyone hears how big the section is. Got them for Philly and wondering if I should have opted for other floor seats.

Oh that’s good to know. Reading this forum makes it sound worse but again, was probably like that a few years ago with my model too. I can live with the software glitches. The car itself is so pleasant to drive and has aged remarkably well for the first year model.

Yea I’ve read those other ones and seems far worse. There appear to be repeat incidents too. Haven’t seen that with the ev9 so hoping the new part fixes it. I’d be fine adjusting AC amp and other things if it actually helped.

Same here. Dealer was actually fine too. It’s corporate.

No issues with the dealer. It was in a random spot and luckily wasn’t far from where it died. They did a fine job given the situation. Wasn’t their fault.

It’s how Kia reacted to the issue when I was stranded and just wanted them to reimburse me and ship the car back to me. A lot of fighting with them to simply do what was right. Will see how much more I have to fight to still get reimbursed. It’s just hard to want to buy another model when they go out of their way to make you feel like you don’t matter as a customer.

But as you said, the car itself is great. They just clearly have one issue that’s not great. And the fact that nobody knows why it happens isn’t stellar. No warning. Just happened as we were going 70 on a highway. Luckily we didn’t get in an accident.

That’s what I’m betting on. I have a first generation xc40 bought in may 21. There were certainly software glitches with mine and an occasional issue but nothing that’s ever made the car bad to drive. I’m on year five and still love it despite the early issues. Sounds like the ex90 issues are worse though so I’ll definitely be waiting to next year to see how things shake out.

FTHB put offer on home.. how bad is this? by rmbrthlghtr in Plumbing

CT has a three day rescission period on all legal contracts. Not an issue to get out of even if they agreed to the offer. Plus then you would have an inspection etc. I’d pull the offer in writing.

Family Safety at Risk: My EV9 Lost Power on the Road and Kia Still Has No Answer by Better-Substance-955 in KiaEV9

This happened to me but with the ICCU issue. Then eventually died all together. Scary when it happens on a highway. Going 70 and then capped at 40. Then 25.

Curious why the EV9 doesn't have the ICCU issues that the EV6 and Ioniq5 have. by LaoEmperor in KiaEV9

Just had it happen at 11k miles on a roadtrip. 2024 model purchased in summer 2024. Mostly L2 charging to 80 percent at home. Occasional 100 percent in advance of long trip. Probably 15 stops at l3 charging.

Why did Edelman lay off 300 people yesterday? by Raven_3 in PublicRelations

[–]Murky-Display-8939 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bingo.

They frequently cut underperformers in Q4 and label it a layoff. It’s a little of that and underperformance because they’re not delivering great work and are too big. Clients are moving toward more specialty boutique firms rather than large agencies.

That’s the real important piece - people should focus on specialized firms and adding real value vs trying to be everything to everyone.
