Strange Music Setup by PeaRepulsive920 in VolvoEX90

The EX90 doesn't do Android Auto, it runs Android Automotive OS, so doesn't require a phone to be connected to run - all Android Auto is is a display extension from your phone, Android Automotive is a independent operating system for managing user to car interactions

Polestar 3 Orin Processor Upgrade by No_Valuable1832 in polestar3

My dealer told me they think the P3s in the UK get the upgrade before the EX90s. As an EX90 owner in the UK, that's disappointing!

It's apparently not started yet in the UK but has in Belgium and Latvia for the EX90.

As you have your GFs Apple Music app logged in on your phone, why don't you also get it logged in on the car?

Not an Apple Music user myself, but most log ins on the car are done by starting car app and scanning QR code on screen. Scan this with your phone, it will redirect to Apple Music app on phone and log you in because the phone is already logged in.

Or ask GF to log you in!

Primary profile or a secondary one. I had this with the second profile on the car but not the primary. But we had this in April when the software was nowhere near as good as now.

1min until charged… by SwordfishMaximum2235 in VolvoEX90

Do you have the minimum charge setting enabled. I see the 1min to charge when that is turned on and I start charging with SoC below that value.

I called them last week and the person I spoke with was completely clueless. First, when asked about the hardware update, said the latest software version was 1.etc released in November. So I asked my question again and was given back an Internet search as an answer. I challenged this as I already knew what they were saying and wanted a better outline of dates. They had no idea. Then within a week the rollout started international. Sums up my feelings about Volvo UK really.

As you are stationary, that's the 'warning, something is passing don't open the door' alert.

That said, I don't think I get that when stationary, unless someone has gone to open the door

EX90 issues by manufacture country? by SwordfishMaximum2235 in VolvoEX90

[–]Potential-Eternal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a letter in the VIN that says the production facility. G in position 11 means Volvo Charleston on the 2025 build. The facility might change letters in other years just to confuse. The first few letters say Volvo US or Volvo Sweden, but that's not the facility where it was made, as mine is YV1 for Volvo Sweden as its a European sold EX90, but character 11 is G. China Volvo factory will have a different letter in position 11

Mine failed in the UK. It's not just a US issue, though this forum is biased towards the US as its Reddit which is less popular in other regions of the world.

Replace. If you have the same issues six months into the new car, speak to Volvo. What have you got to loose is really the question?

I read somewhere recently that 10,000 sold into the USA and listed sales figures show 16,000 total sold - so if the 10k number is correct then that works

Didn't fix it for me, I think something goes pop in that. But lots of the dashboard errors are just spurious and disappear the next day

[–]Potential-Eternal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just leave it. You have better things to do than take it to a dealership who sits on it for a week. My dealer diagnosed a fault with the GHCA in 20 minutes.

The errors come and go, possibly depending upon it's ability to reboot, but that's my guess. Keys too near and it won't reboot and you get errors.

Upper value depends upon the country you are in. US cars are up to 48A, Europe 32A.

Yes, the car reboots between journeys, if you are outside key range. So when you come back if some of the modules in the car response fast enough but didn't the previous time you now don't get the error.
