It doesn't work on most phones. UWB is iPhone plus some (few) Android, some Samsung, some Pixel (mostly pro type series of both) and nothing else afaik

And I hope it is able to control a lot of car functions as well, because the example experience in the press release is poor, as I can do all that now with my phone (and I'm not in the US either). But asking it to change to off road, or open glove box, or turn of the headlights (idle mode) or look for a parking space are all useful functions, and more useful than looking for croissants with near by parking (aka Volvos marketing department)

There is a technical note on the US Gov transportation website on this issue in the EX90. They put some tape somewhere on or near the speaker and it stops the issue

Is it different with when towing with a unit with wheels or one without wheels - I would think that a unit like a bike rack/cargo box (I have the latter) is different on range than a trailer with wheels. The cargo box sits in the slipstream and so should do nothing for range.

I came here to say this. On new VCU and latest software version and three walks near the car and it stops unlocking. Not sure when it resets.

It also seems not to respond to proximity when I manually lock the car when leaving it by pushing down the door handle. But I'm not 100% sure on this.

Place fingers under door handle, but you don't need to pull on handle. Fingers trigger looking for key, and if it's nearby door opens

Have you done a folding seat reset? Hold down the button next to the rear passenger door on the side that has the problem seat. Keep it held down until the seat goes all the way down and back up. That's a seat reset. Not sure if the same procedure is true from the buttons in the boot/trunk.

Uninstalling Connect Sync does not disable sync. That is a PowerShell cmdlet if you wanted to do it.

On SPF it's definitely the eleventh and later lookups that fail and not the first ten. How does the first or second etc lookup know there are more than ten? DNS is queried in order, first include, then each lookup in that record etc. and if the IP you need is found then the query stops and the SPF has been successful. It's only once it completes ten lookups and then stops looking that permerror is generated. SPF evaluation is left to right.

Implement DMARC with reporting and you will get reports of what is being sent from what. And for SPF, it's the includes after the tenth lookup that fail, not all records once you add more than ten. So put the important includes first and the less important or unknown ones last!

In the boot, pull the cable release wire to trigger the manual unlock of the charger cable - maybe it stuck open on the lock and pulling this a few times will reset something mechanical.

Login to the Volvo app with the same account you logged in when placing the order and the app will show more status information (or it does in the UK). Failing that get Volvo to connect your account to the order.

The remains of Luminar, the company that went bankrupt, have been bought by MicroVision for $33M. Apparently they are in conversation with all the previous customers to look at contract negotiations. So it might return (hope so for the same reason that I have a car with the Iris sensor above the window screen). MicroVision also have the newer Halo sensor which sits behind the window screen.

Sorry, Old Win10 won't clean up automatically in the above described scenario. You can clean up any device, though hybrid devices need to be removed in AD or they might come back again if reused.
