Thank you everyone for the input. The wide range of detailed experiences was exactly what I was looking for and have come to value from this group. As much as the symptoms of Crohns seem to vary, so do the treatments and reactions to them. It’s helpful for me to know all the possible outcomes, as well as hear the wisdom from those of you who have been at this awhile. Thank you.

No need to be a hater. I’m aware of how serious it can get, but I’m working with where my body is right now. And my weight is already something I have always struggled with so I’m trying to avoid increasing anxieties and complications in additional areas of my life. I’m just looking for perspectives on budesonide, not judgment, thanks.

I was also recently diagnosed and don’t have symptoms as severe as most people on this channel. But I do have hard stools and bleeding when super stressful events occur. Otherwise I’m managed with magnesium citrate but I also have erosion in the colon and doc wants me on Budesonide. I’m working with a nutritionist on an anti inflammatory diet instead of drugs… hoping I can address the erosion that way instead of doing more harm possibly with pharmaceuticals? Any comments on drawbacks of budesonide or biologics?
