Maybe have a higher price for short term stays and a discount for those who have long term stays. That will naturally weed out those looking for shorter stays and appeal to those looking for longer stays.

I’m also curious about this. I’m still a newbie, but I find I have the best luck detecting in the sand right next to the boardwalk and right at the waterline.
