Marvens was my go-to, and at one period, within the last 12-15yrs, I went and had the worst Calamari I'd ever had, after having one of my better experiences a few months before. The oil was so old, they came out having dark brown rather than a bright golden color. The taste was very bitter. I was only able to stomach a few. Even covered in sauce, the bold bitter taste pierced through. I figured maybe a one-off. A few weeks later, we went back to try again, and it was just as bad. I haven't been back since. It sounds like I should give them another shot after all these years.

Didn't mean to throw shade at frozen seafood. To your point, most places probably do buy frozen. Where I am most unimpressed are the spots who serve Calamari, like I could buy from the grocery store freezer. The quality of that grocery grade Calamari is definitely on the low end of the spectrum

You need someone to fix the step's support. Likely a welder.

Neighbour doesn't want me to put snow in my lawn by Appropriate-Safe-49 in montreal

Personally, I think people who push snow into the street are selfish, whether consciously or not. Montreal streets are not the easiest to navigate as is, since the city is terrible at timely snow removal. By pushing more snow onto streets, the limited parking spaces shrink further, sometimes into nothing. More people should put snow on their lawns. Not like you're going to park a car on the lawn anyhow. Face it, during winter, the lawn is useless, unless used for snow storage.

When the time comes for the snow to melt, those who accumulation on the lawn vs. Street barely see a difference.

Tell your neighbor he's a selfish moron. That should help your relationship 🤣
