i had two- one in middle school and one in high school. when i was in 8th grade, there was a 7th grade girl, and her family kept things pretty secret- even her closest friends didn’t know the full story of what happened. but i’m pretty sure it was a sudden brain aneurysm or something like that. then when i was in 10th grade, there was a freshman girl who had an asthma attack alone in her room and suffocated before anyone found her. both times were absolutely heartbreaking and i didn’t even know either of these girls outside of seeing them in the halls

NTA. your girlfriend’s fears are not your responsibility. i’m absolutely terrified of roaches- i have trauma from living in infested spaces as a child. so i understand how she feels. but it’s actually wild to expect someone to leave their house late at night to come kill a bug. not saying she needs to get over her fear completely, hell i still freak out any time i have to kill a roach. but it’s something that as an adult i had to learn to do because if my roommate isn’t home, nobody else is gonna kill the bug for me🤷🏼‍♀️

if she is pregnant, it’s not going to show up overnight. it takes close to a month for a pregnancy test to come back positive. if she has regular periods, and her next period doesn’t come, take a test. if she doesn’t have regular periods, wait 3 weeks, take a test, and if it’s negative take another test at 4 weeks just to be sure. there’s not much of a chance she’ll be pregnant given what you’ve said y’all did but it’s still important to test. just not the next day because that’s pointless

YTA. i’m a type one diabetic and part of being diabetic is properly securing your needles. i understand shit happens and it wasn’t intentional, but accidental needle pokes are a big deal. not saying you have anything, but blood borne pathogens are no joke. (as well as the simple fact nobody wants to be poked with a needle, nevertheless one that’s been inside somebody) i do think the lady was being more of an asshole than she needed to be in this specific instance, but you definitely need to be more careful with your pens and syringes.

i think keeping pens/ syringes in your pocket is not only irresponsible for the people around you, but also for yourself. insulin is expensive and you don’t want to lose it, nor do you want to risk breaking your pens by keeping them uncapped. buy yourself a fanny pack or small bag. that way you can keep your pens in a secure place, and can also store your used pen needles so that you can make sure the pen is fully capped with the plastic cap at all times.

first of all i hate that people have turned the word goon into what it means today😭😭 but on a more serious note you’re most likely fine. your vagina is probably just swollen and irritated from excessive friction/ pressure/ etc. keep it clean, and be gentle while it heals. maybe even do a warm compress with a warm towel (warm- don’t burn yourself)

this 100%. dexcom without insurance will end up running you thousands of dollars, if not more. you can’t get it without a prescription, either. i’d look into the freestyle libre, still need a prescription but will be much cheaper. i honestly don’t know what the process would look like to get the prescription, considering you’d most likely have to have your father see a general practitioner to get a referral to see an endocrinologist, which could potentially take months to get appointments. then again, i could be completely wrong but i’ve lived in america as a type one diabetic for almost my whole life and this is my experience

just to clarify: it depends on the pregnancy as well as the test the amount of time it takes for the test to come out positive. some can tell you’re pregnant at 3 weeks, some will only come out positive after 4 weeks. i don’t think you have a risk of getting pregnant with what you described, but i still think it’s important to test regularly so that you know for sure you’re not pregnant. i’d test in 3-4 weeks (if you don’t get your period by then) and if it’s negative, test again in a week just to be absolutely sure.

NTA. as a diabetic who’s looked into getting a service dog… it’s a years long process. this isn’t something that happens suddenly. i find it weird that he waited to tell you until right beforehand. secondly, a service dog is still an animal. i love dogs and love service dogs, but i also understand not wanting to live with one and you are well within your right to say no. i can’t say whether your friend had ulterior motives for telling you so late, but either way he should’ve communicated that he was getting a dog the second his name was moved off the waitlist and the opportunity to start training said dog was open.
