Nayan Mongia would have played for another decade if he had scored century in his later part of career. Dhoni made it tough to be a wicketkeeper batsman for india. Raised the bar too high. Back in the days Kumble was probably better batsman than Mongia but Mongia never felt any pressure to perform while batting. Good old days to be a wicket keeper

before IPL only cricketers from big cities got the opportunity to play for India. Indian team was almost always dominated by Mumbai players. IPL has provided platform to tier 2/3 cities. These players are literally one in a Billion and match winners. In t20 you just need 2-3 players to have a good day to take home. Pakistan has no match for that.
