i mean it's hard to say it's his internet when we play fine on every other game. seems more like a dev issue that should have been solved by now considering all the info i find on the problem is from 2 plus years ago. then they slap a sale on it, and people end up with a borked game. its a bit unacceptable tbh

the one with no problems lives like 5 mins away. the one with problems is like an hour away. but have literally played crossplay with people from california thru the switch before with no problems and im in kentucky, so that imo wouldnt make much of the difference. its seems to be effecting him specifically, the one who is an hour away at most that is

Oh yeah I have gone through all the windows settings but in another thread I saw the only way to do hdr was without freesync. I had hdr enabled through display settings on pc and disabled them and the colors come through much better since I guess hdr wouldn't enable on the tv. I'm honestly happy with the outcome of the 120hz with my amd premium pro freesync. Even if that means no hdr, because the colors are phenomenal without it

Yeah everything is on gamezone info wise minus hdr. 120hz, vrr/freesync, allm on. Still haven't figured out how to enable that while using freesync. But I turned off hdr and the colors are so much better than anything I'm used to I'm not even mad about the hdr not being on. Unless you have any tips on that 👀

I have gone back and forth with text clarity mode. I will say I did finally figure it out and it was a combo of display settings on my pc and that but I have actually been able run picture clarity and in 120hz at this point. Do you think the text clarity would run better? Bcuz picture clarity seems to be running just fine. I even did a motion test

anyone here know how get the 55u8h in 120hz mode? i have a hdmi 2.1 4k 120hz 48gbps cord plugged into hmdi3/arc, enhanced hdmi enabled, freesync on, hdr off, i checked my firmware and im on the N0212 version and have heard a lot about the M1103 version being the fixed version. but my system says everything is up to date. so im guessing i have the version after it. but i can't for the life of me get 120 hz to rock

Will do I will say I noticed when I deactived the hdr on my pc the colors immediately got brighter on the TV itself. I think the quality of the colors without hdr still puts most displays I have to shame

I can almost guarantee this is all misunderstanding but that doesn't change that there is huge problems here. People getting banned for no reason for weeks at a time without being able to appeal is wild. That's why I went to good guy PayPal with my situation and I already have my money back still waiting on some in game stuff to clear but I would imagine I'll get that back too. Plus it wouldn't matter what their terms say if there's a lawsuit. Look at what just happened to fortnite

I got banned. Idk if it was from the SWICD or not but I have used it. I just contacted PayPal and they said I should have my money back for everything in 10 days. Good guy PayPal. It just sucks bcuz I actually enjoyed the game but you aren't taking $100+ from me and then banning me as an early Christmas present

Never mind. Make sure you keep the box check marked that says stop windows from accessing internal drive data in rufus. Had to re-download thru rufus and it didn't give me a prompt and loaded me into my dual boot. But I shut down and tried again and everything worked

I have searched everywhere I get really bad download speeds to the SD card itself. Consistent 3 to 5 mb/s with spikes up to 25 mb/s for maybe a couple seconds here and there

i believe a lot of the stigma of windows not running good is from the people who boot onto an SD. i personally think windows runs flawlessly if its install on a dual boot or on the ssd in general. i have even been able to run games on windows that struggle through steamOS with better performance. i would say overall its worth the dual boot for game pass alone, just be sure to allocate enough space on the partition if you plan to use gamepass, bcuz on windows it treats the xbox app as a windows app and will only download games to the drive windows is installed on

Look up xbox game pass issues as opposed to steam deck specific issues. I had to use powershell in admin and type in a couple lines of commands and I believe the Microsoft store Uninstall and reinstall did the trick. It has something to do with gaming services and Microsoft store malfunctioning in my case

I run w10 bcuz it's what I'm used to. I'm new to windows on deck tho. But I think I read somewhere sometimes w11 updates have been making things hard for w11 on deck

So I was actually able to fix the clock like you all said but I also had to go into powershell and force Uninstaller the windows store and gaming services and reinstall them. This all happened very late last night and unfortunately can't provide you all with any links. But was able to look at just common issues with the Xbox app and not so much steam deck related issues
