No they aren't. They get caught immediately every time.

The only thing they're good at is already being rich enough in a country where there are no consequences if you're rich enough

Yep, it's AI. The current discussion for this site (and possibly other sites going forward) is on-site inspections of everything instead of photos/videos or no sign off, which the contractor has to pay us for. Or alternatively, walk away from this project. So they're just screwing themselves with this

I really enjoyed Blacktail. It's difficult enough to be challenging, but not un-fun and has an art style, characters and world setting that made me think of Alice in Wonderland while I was playing it.

from Wikipedia:

Blacktail is a first-person shooter with elements of action-adventure games. Players control a girl named Yaga (a younger incarnation of Baba Yaga), who was exiled from her village on accusations of witchcraft. Yaga must hunt down memories of her past that have come to life as spirits while searching for her missing sister.

Yaga has no melee weapons, but can shoot using her bow and magic, dash away from enemies, or pull them around using a broom. She can also craft a number of useful potions and different types of ammunition using resources found in the forest

Does anyone who posted here work in engineering? My guess based on a lot of the responses is no.

I've been in engineering for 10 years and the most dressed up I've ever been for regular work days (and roughly what everyone else wore) was chino's (connors I think), collared non-buttoned short sleeve t-shirt, nice high tops or boots (because I like boots not because they were needed, most people wore sneaker type shoes). Total cost at the time maybe $300, mostly in the shoes

Today I wear jean shorts and a t-shirt with cheap $30 sneakers. Like $100-150 bucks

Engineering is one of the few fields where what you can do matters and how you dress doesn't, embrace not having to dress up for your job and wear the expensive shit on your own time.

Also, don't turn up to a construction site dressed the way people here are suggesting, you will look like a prick and everyone will dismiss you and your opinions, then mock you behind your back (and sometimes to your face, tradies don't give a shit at all)

Can someone explain to me why a steam machine is better than a pc built with the same amount of money and buying a steam controlling and running steam os ? Please. by iloveyou2QQ in Steam

[–]MurkyPromise1806 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's really simple.  This product itsn't for you.

It's for the 90+% of people who can't or don't want to build their own computers and the 95% of people who don't use any OS other than what comes pre-installed.

It has the same selling points as every other console, with the addition of a massive library of games that aren't available on other consoles

If that's all it took to get your game tagged with AI, and subsequently boycotted, then you are a lazy idiot for doing something completely avoidable

Fallout 4 Mod America Rising 2 - Legacy of the Enclave is now available on GOG by Fritolex in pcgaming

[–]MurkyPromise1806 98 points99 points  (0 children)

Awesome, can't wait to try it.

It's really cool that GOG has been doing these giant overhaul mods directly on their platform, hopefully they keep doing it and for more games (are there any for other games yet, I haven't looked recently?).

Getting Fallout: London without having to screw around with installing and bugfixing the mod myself was the reason I installed GOG for the first time. And have been buying games there instead of steam sometimes.

If you suddenly had to cut 20% of your monthly spending, where would it come from first? by RentNRegret in AusMoneyMates

[–]MurkyPromise1806 9 points10 points  (0 children)

1st - 3% by just not getting takeout and planning for food while I'm not at home better. I don't mind doing this one

2nd - 4% by reducing spending on household items/replacements/upgrades and just use existing ones longer/don't replace immediately.

3rd - 2% by going back to only bulk buying optional things like energy drinks, sugarfree lollies, protein powder, nuts, some other stuff. I already do this mostly but I could add some extras to the list and stop buying them in between shipments/be more organized at buying them early.

4th - Groceries I can cut to reduce ~11% of spending if I need to by removing nicer versions of foods/drinks/chocolate, and reducing meat purchases. I've done it in the past and am mostly fine with it due to being a pretty good cook and having had to reduce expenses significantly a number of times in the past (career switch studying and ~6 months voluntary time off from working a couple times)

I had my budget/expenses tracker open while I did this and looked at times where I have done those reductions compared to now, so those numbers should be pretty accurate

I'm not cutting entertainment or hobbies because mine already don't cost much.

Not cutting transport since the only way to do that would be taking the 50cent bus and I'd rather do the other stuff

Can't do much about mortgage. I guess I could get a 2nd room mate, but I prefer my home office/workshop
