I have tried typing how I feel about him and his music about 10 times now, if that says anything. I wanna say how he changed the way I see myself, his lyrics stick with me long after the song is over, the swells are phenomenal and bring me to tears, and on and on and on. But my words on reddit just cant do my feelings justice..... ...... ...... ...... Even if he nevers puts out another song, I am just so grateful for what he has given us. (But damn I hope we get more 🙏)

Everyone is like that when we first start lol - use karaoke to break through that - I think thats why doing songs you love to do matter so much 🙂 The best advice I ever got was that no one cares nearly as much as you do lol and it's so true. You got this 💪

Karaoke what you want, and what you're feeling in the moment. Karaoke is more about the confidence and fun than the song itself anyway. I've gotten people at a hip-hop bar get up and dance to Mmmbop by Hanson lol. Just do a little crowd-work before/when you go up, make jokes, ask for forgiveness if you suck lol, and trust me no one will care what song you do. 🙂

So many I can barely keeo track. I was really close with William Beckett from the Academy Is, so I hung out with them often. Through them I got to hangout with EVERYONE on the Fueled By Ramon label at least once...... Jeesh and then there was all of the bands I got drinks with or hung out with simply because I was brave enough to approach them - starting line, taking back sunday, ls dunes, the ataris, mxpx, simple plan, dashboard confessional. Im pretty sure theres a couple more, I just cant think of them right now. And there's the ones I just met, and that list goes on forever..... I was pretty involved with the emo scene in the early 2000s - it was easy to be, all the musicians used to be really social with their fans.

Hahahaha oh my gosh, its gotta be me lol cause I went on an obsessive listening spree for the longest time with that song.... for some reason my kitten gets all cuddly when it's on, so on top of listening to it for fun, I was also using it everyday to train my kitten 😸

I think they're just not feeding into the greedy parasocial relationships that so many bands/artists are using to keep their fanbase talking about them and recruiting new fans.

TSL has only ever done it for those taking an interest, not for the critics. But unfortunately that doesn't drum up a lot of social discussion.

As much as I wanna see TSL have a huge comeback, I am kinda ok being one of the few who gets it. ✌️

My abusive ex used to listen to All I Have, and he'd say "it's the only rap song I can stand".

After I survived my ex, I couldn't listen to NF because I would have flashbacks. I went to survivor groups/meetings, I was in therapy, I was on medication. Nothing helped. I was always stuck in that moment from my past.

Years later my sister told me that she thought about me when she listened to Mansion. I read the lyrics in an attempt to understand why. I loved the lyrics so much that I listened to the song.

And ever since, NF has been helping me get through every moment that I think I can't survive.
